Paul POV

My anger boiled inside my thick skin. My mind flooded with confused thoughts that I didn't want to have. I had to be the one who imprinted on a vampire.

'Jake imprinted on a leech too,' Embry said through his head.

I rolled my eyes.

'Everyone saw that one coming, don't say you were surprised'

Embry shut up then, which I was glad about because I was too mentally exhausted to have a fight with anyone.

We ran our parts of the Res. Smelling new scents but none of vampire kinds.

'I'm just saying she's hot,' Seth must have phased.

'No. Not happening,' Jake was suddenly here too.

'Why are you being so defensive? Paul should be doing it not you,' Seth growled at them.

'Quit fighting,' I snapped my jaw in their little battle, 'What are you talking about?'

'He wants me to score him a date with Sophia,' Jake said.

Jealousy flooded over me, like swimming in syrup I wanted so smash his head open for even thinking of taking my imprint away from me. So I didn't answer, knowing he heard my little threat as I departed.

I phased back, I had school in 5 hours so I could catch some sleep.

My 4 hour nap barely helped my sluggish feeling I had. I wanted to meet Sophia personally. She didn't know who I was, and it struck me hard that I was such an asshat to her.

She was the only one who mattered it seemed, I didn't care what Seth wanted to do. She was my soul mate, it's not like he can cancel my imprinting of her. She was going to like me back, and no matter what Seth did, or tried to do, she would come to me.

Her beautiful brown eyes were captivating, she wasn't full vampire. She seemed sleepy as well, as the night progressed.

I drove to my school, another day of hell. Renesmee could give me information about her hopefully. So I would know her situation.

Her sleepy eyes were cemented in my mind. She ended up laying her head on Renesmees, which was laid on her shoulder. The girls were huddled together, both staring at the fire. Her beauty made me want to be the fire, I wanted to make her feel hot. She didn't know what I was capable of. She didn't know what had happened to her. Guilt washed over me as well, what if she didn't want this?

"Paul, is Jake patrolling this morning?" Renesmee interrupted my thoughts.

I looked up from my feet, Renesmee stood there staring up with her big friendly eyes. But she was also standing behind her.

Eyes taking in the new surroundings as she hugged books close to her tiny body.

"Paul stop drooling over her," Renesmee whined.

"What?" I snapped from my creepy stare.

"Your going to freak her out, stop," She scolded me.

"I'm not freaked, Ness. Its okay," Her beautiful voice was like music to my ears.

Every song is ever heard was trash compared to her voice, sweet and smooth.

She smiled at me, her features were surprisingly not scared. She seemed cool with what we going on, which was good I guess.

I smiled back by instinct. Looking at my large feet and blushing.

"Oh my god," Renesmee groaned, "You made him blush. I've never even seen him smile before," She told Sophia.
