"I'm telling you. She's a cute kid. I don't even find newborns cute because they're all new. But she's the perfect mixture of Taehyung and Hana." Jungkook cheesed, talking to Taehee on the other side of the screen.
As soon as he got back home after the hospital visit, he set up his computer to video call with his girlfriend.
She was so jealous of how he could see the baby and she couldn't. She wish she could've dropped everything and went to the hospital. It was her best friends first baby and possibly her future brother in laws.
And she missed it.
"I'm jealous of you Jungkook. You get to see her whenever you want."
She felt as if they were all so far. Like there was nothing she could even do to help. The last thing she wanted was for anyone to feel like she was brushing them off.
"I'm sorry, I wish you were here." He rested his forehead on this palm, staring at her.
She should've dropped everything and flew to Korea, but in her current position there was just no way it could've happened successfully.
"Don't apologize honey. It was my choice to choose this career path." She laughed it off.
Although there was a small smile on her face, Jungkook could feel how much pain she was in and how she felt.
"It's okay to be upset. You don't have to hide everything from me." He reassured her.
He felt bad for her. Even though she was living out her dream he knew she felt left out while everyone else was in Korea together.
"I just miss you all so much. You guys are always posting all the time about how much fun you're having and everything. The memories you all make together." She sighed.
"And when you release your new song and get promotions over with, you can do just that with us. Don't feel discouraged, this is all temporary." He smiled at the screen.
"Mm I hope you're right." She ran her fingers through her freshly retouched roots. "So what's up with you baby? How's work?"
He was surprised he could even stay focused on their conversation. She might've been exhausted but she looked absolutely breathtaking in Jungkook's eyes.
"Relaxing, surprisingly. Because of Taehyung the company decided it was best to put group activities on hold until he was ready to perform again. So in the mean time I'm just practicing, going to the gym, and that's pretty much it." He replied.
"Ah you're so lucky, I need a break like that. We should have a baby too." She joked.
"We can do that!" Jungkook blurted with no hesitation. "I'll buy my plane ticket right now! I will make that happen for sure."
