"Mom, Hyehyun will be there with me, I'll be fine." I reassured my teary eyed mother.
"I know, I know. It's just going to be hard without you here. First your brother, sister, and now you." She frowned.
"Just have another kid." I suggested.
She shook her head,"Just get on the plane already."
We both chuckled and I hugged her one last time.
I made sure I had all my stuff and I boarded the plane after waving to my mother.
My parents are staying here, in Shanghai while I'm going to stay with my sister in South Korea.
Because of my parents work, we have to travel a lot.
Now that I'm finally old enough, I'll just be staying in one place.
I'm used to switching schools constantly but there's something about this time that just makes me feel nervous inside.
"Would you like anything, Ms. Choi?" The flight attendant asked.
"No thank you." I smiled politely as the flight attendant walked away.
"It's only two hours." I mumbled and stare out the window.
I unwrapped my headphones from a small box I had kept inside my mini backpack.
I plugged them in and opened my favorite app, Wattpad.
After 45 minutes of reading, my eyelids slowly shut and I drift off to sleep.
4:36pm
My eyes flutter open as I can feel the vibrations from the plane start to end.
The plane finally landed.
I quickly gather all my items and pull out my phone texting my sister.
Me:
plane landed. come pick me up !!hyunie:
im not picking you up
girl im already letting you live with me go get your own rideMe:
this is not what i signed up forI shut my phone off and groan, "Goddamnit."
I straightened myself up and exited the plane.
Once I got signal I requested for a taxi to pick me up from the airport.
While waiting I grab my luggage from the machine and head outside.
After 6 minutes I finally see my ride pull up.
