Vein stepped through the castle, a small hun ran through his head as he hummed a small tune to himself. Vein stopped at a painting of himself and Queen Heart, he was holding a small egg in the painting, it was his daughter, Princess Wound, Vein felt a stab of pain go through him as he remembered her and how she went missing on the same day that Queen Heart and him had to banish their son, Blood. Vein felt more pain rush through him as he remembered the look on Blood's face, his tears, his begging and the look of betrayal on his face. Vein felt the tears run down his face as he started rushing toward his garden. Vein looked at the flowers that usually made him happy but he only felt sadness, he held onto the necklace that Queen Heart had given him on their first night of marriage as he thought "I miss my children, this is all Heart's fault, I hate her..." Suddenly he felt a weird feeling of guilt as he thought "...No, what we did was right, Blood was to dangerous and Wound left on her own, it's not her fault." As Vein left he couldn't help but feel something was wrong.
(POV swapped to Queen Heart)
Queen Heart felt the feeling of Vein having doubt as she grabbed at her necklace, she let her power flood through it as she felt the doubt melt from his mind. Queen Heart let go of her necklace and returned to eating her goat, she thought of how foolish it was to worry about their traitorous dragonets, neither of them deserved to exist and they will eventually be replaced. Queen Heart would need to find a way to deal with the problem of Blood being freed from his prison and she also needed to 'talk' to the dragons who trapped him. Queen Heart got up from the dinning table as she headed towards the throne room and ordered the dragons who trapped Blood to her throne room for a punishment for failing her.
