I rolled onto my side, reaching out to grab my phone off of the nightstand. "Hello." I mumbled, not opening my eyes. "Ava you need to come to Italy!" The worried voice of Alice came through the other end of the phone.

I was awake in a second. What had happened that caused her to be this worried? "What's wrong?" I asked, propping myself up with my other arm. "Carlisle has gone to the Volturi, asking to be killed." I was frozen. That couldn't be correct. If anything it would be Edward who would have gone.

"Wait a minute. Why does he want to die?" I was genuinely terrified for her response. What could make Carlisle want to die? Out of everyone he was the least that I had expected to do such a thing. "It's Esme..." My heart stopped for a moment, as I heard a small sob from her. "How?" I asked slowly, still taking in those two simple words.

This was the reason. Esme was gone... "James. He found them when they were in Greece." My heart sank even more. "Greece? ..." She hummed, not being able to talk about it. She was killed here? James was here!? "I'm on my way."

I quickly hung up the phone. "Arya! Emily!" Standing up, I quickly started getting ready. When they saw my worried state, they were quick to respond. Arya helped me grab some of my things, while Emily turned to me concerned. "Why are we leaving in such a hurry?"

"James in somewhere in Greece. Find him." I ordered her, and without hesitation she disappeared. I tried to stay calm, but I just couldn't help but let my mind fall deeper into this pit of sadness and rage. I stopped what I was doing, sitting on the floor in silence.

"He killed Esme." I mumbled, wiping the tears from my eyes. We had really bonded, and I couldn't imagine how Carlisle was feeling right now. She had become a mother to me, and no matter how stupid it was, she had even taught me her secret recipe for her Oatmeal Raisin Cookies. How could she be gone? ...

Was it my fault? I understood that when something tragic happened one would put all the blame on themselves, however deep down I knew it was my fault.

In the original storyline Victoria was supposed to create a newborn army. Except I changed that when I ripped her head off. Now, James was out there, and I had just figured he would do the same.

Everything had gone the exact same as it did originally, no matter how many things I changed. So why would he go so far off course, come all the way to Greece, hunt them down, and then kill her?

Arya closed the suitcase moving it off of my bed, the next one going into its place. "This cannot be a coincidence." She told me, momentarily stopping what she was doing to turn to me.

"No one besides Carlisle Cullen knew that we were coming to Greece." I nodded. Charlie wouldn't be a liability. Yes, he knew of where we were going, but I had put a protection spell around him and the house. That not only meant that no one could harm him, but no one could get into the house.

If anyone tried to do either I would have been notified immediately. It wasn't him. Who could have known? "The only people that knew of your whereabouts in our realm were Elizabeth, Emily, and me." Arya explained taking a seat next to me on the floor.

"Who else would have known?" I mentally slapped myself. It had to of been Olivia. She was the only one that I hadn't taken precaution against. I had only whispered to Carlisle about where I would be going, not thinking about the fact that maybe she could have heard me.

I whispered, yes, but that doesn't mean that it was impossible for her to have known. "Get Rosalie and Emmett. Bring them here." She nodded, disappearing. Taking a deep breath I tried to calm myself. Crying wouldn't make her come back.
