Olivia POV
It was lunch time, and I haven't seen Bella since Biology this morning. We had two classes after our separation for gym, but she wasn't at either of them. Did she go home because her headache got worse? That was probably what it was. As I sat at the table everyone was talking about how excited they were for La Push later today. Eric turned to me with a smile as if he had remembered something. "Hey Olivia, La Push, you in?" I looked at him confused, but quickly realized that I never officially agreed to going.
Jessica sniffled before trying to persuade me, thinking I was going to reject Eric's offer. " There's a big smoke coming in, you have to come." I looked down not liking how I was just put on the spot. Sure, I wanted to go, and I wanted to tell them that, but the words just wouldn't come out of my mouth. Eric abruptly stood up from his chair grabbing everyone's attention that was at the table. "I don't just surf the internet." Jessica looks at him in disbelief before exposing him. "Eric, you stood up once and it was a foam board." This caused everyone to start laughing, but I could tell Angela thought his action was cute.
She had a major crush on Eric, and I knew it. She took her attention off of him and back to me. "And there's whale watching too, come with us." I guess I could go right? I didn't necessarily have to go in the water. "Fine, I'll go." I mumbled and everyone's faces brightened. I stood up laughing a bit, glad that I had made friends.
I wanted to make myself a salad, which was odd, but it was a craving, so I listened. I ended up making it look pretty, fixing each thing in my bowl to perfection. When I was almost done, Edward appeared out of nowhere. "Edible art?" He asked. I didn't see him and when he said that I slammed my hands down in fright, which in turn made me hit my apple, causing it fall onto the floor. Before it could hit the floor, Edward caught it with his foot, and it rolled up into his hands. How did he do that? Never mind. I tried to ignore him, but he still had my apple. I stood there avoiding eye contact debating whether I wanted to abandon it, but he handed it back to me.
"Thanks." I mumble in frustration. I quickly walk over to the dressings and start putting different kinds on my salad. "I only said it was better if we weren't friends not that I didn't want to be." He spoke calmly. I can't believe him right now! One moment he tells me he doesn't want to be friends with him and avoids me and the next he wants to be my friend. He was repeating exactly what happened outside! "What does that even mean?" I mumble in confusion. I turned my head to look at him like he was crazy. All he did was smile before saying, "It means that if you were smart then you should stay away from me"
"Ok, well let's say for argument sake I am not smart, would you tell me the truth?" I asked now fully turned in his direction, trying to get to the point. He looked down with a stiff smile, before chuckling. "No, probably not." I looked over at the table and all my friends were staring at me and Edward, especially Mike. Oh, boy. I walked away from Edward silently, with food in hand before sitting back down, and everything went back to normal. Everyone started talking about La Push, but Mike was still glaring at Edward.
Ava's POV
By the end of Gym by head was pounding, so I went to the nurses office. She ended up giving me Ibuprofen, before letting me lay down throughout the next class. The headache went away, and I was going to go eat lunch, but as I walked down the hallway, I got dizzy. "Oh, you have got to be kidding me!" I yell out loud at no one in particular. Along with dizziness, we all know what came with it. Puking. I held on hand on the wall as I walked through the halls keeping my balance. I finally made it to the woman's bathroom, just in time before I puked.
After a twenty-minute session with the toilet, I was feeling better. I had been though all of this before, so I knew the drill. Now, I had to decide. Eat or don't. I haven't eaten anything since breakfast, and I just puked that up, so I'll most likely feel worse if I don't. Although if I do eat, I risk the chance of puking that back up. Ugh. I hated this part. I sat on the floor taking a few breathes before slowly standing up, trying my best not to move too fast.
