All I could do was blink as the room fell in complete silence.
"Before you start yellin, she was on the pill, she just forgot to take it".
I closed my eyes still tryna process everything.
"I can barely afford y'all, what you gon do wit a baby? And at 15"?
I said tryna keep my voice as low as possible so he could feel comfortable talking to me.
"You know I'm workin, I can help out wit the bills, if you let me".
"You don't even need to be doin what you do, neither one of y'all".
I said eyeing him and Rese.
"But it's fast money, and a lot of it".
"Dirty money".
"How old is this girl"?
"16".
"And did she tell her brother"?
"Not yet. She was scared so I told her we can tell him together".
I checked the time seeing I had to leave in about 10 minutes.
"I'm bout to call in and tell em imma be late, we finna go talk to her brother right now".
"Right now? You don't wanna wait"?
"Nope, the longer we wait the worse his reaction".
I called in to let them know I'll be late then told Jay to come on.
"Y'all need me to come just in case he try to get physical"?
Se'Kani asked but got up anyway not giving me a chance to answer.
"Imma stay here and eat, y'all let me know how that go".
Rese said stuffing his face.
That boy don't give a damn if he was on his last breath, he gon eat.
I kissed the kids before heading out.

We all got out and she knocked on the door a few times to get no answer.
She reached to knock again but I started bangin on it then stepped back in my spot wit her eyein me.
" what? They act like they can't hear".
Some lanky ass nigga snatched the door open and his eyes went to Jay then Sincere.
"Fuck y'all want"?
"We need to talk to you".
"Nah I'm good, last time you was here yo ass stabbed me in my shoulder".
"Yeah about that, my apologies. Can we come in"?
"Actions speak louder than words, if you say you sorry you can come in and show me".
He licked his lips leanin on the door frame makin me shake my head.
"She said they need to talk, you gon step out our we comin in nigga"?
"She can come in".
