"Hunter help me," she laughed as she tried to move the amp in my studio at the house.
"What are you doing?" I chuckled.
"I'm moving this," she smiled.
"Why?" I smirked at her.
"Cause if you're gonna hook up the guitar right there I wanna sit next to you," she said in a duh tone.
"But what does the amp have to do with you sitting right next to me?" I gave her a confused look.
"Becauuuuse I'm going to sit on the amp. Duh Hunter. Keep up dude," she grinned.
"That's cute," I laughed and picked up the amp and moved it.
"I was gonna do that," she crossed her arms over her chest and stomped over to the amp and sat down.
I just smiled at her.
"Siiiiiing," she said, trying not to laugh.
I put on my headphones and started singing.
You would think for all the days I've known you
That I would have you memorized by now
With every question answered,
Every single page turned
But you just keep me on the edge somehowAnd every day with you is still a mystery
The sweetest story's falling from your lips
And I hold on to every word,
Like it's the first one that I've heard
It's the only time I've ever felt like thisAfter all this time you'd think I'd be
Used to the pull of your gravity
But after flying so high for so long, who would think
I'm still learning, still burning, still falling
Still fallingI still reach for your hand because I need it
Your kiss is still the spark that lights a fire
You're still laughing with me,
And we're still making memories,
I'm still a fool for you, and there's a million reasons whyAfter every late night street light drive
And every "Love you", "Miss you", kiss good night
Girl, your name is still my favorite
Always will be and I'm
Still wanting, still all-in, I'm still fallingStill falling,
Still chasing, still nervous,
Still reeling, dreaming about thisAnd after every sunrise holding you,
After all the crazy we've been through
Every day and every minute, girl, it's something new,
I'm still learning, still burning, yeah, still wanting, still all-in, still falling.Still falling.
I finished singing and saw her smiling at me.
I took my headphones off and she jumped up and hugged me.
"That was awesome," she said as she pulled back from our hug.
"Thank you beautiful. Okay come on let's go see the horses," I smiled at her.
Okay yes, we did just have one horse, but I may have bought my own.
So now it's Brodie and Bennett.
I held her hand as we walked to stable on the side of the house.
"Hi buddies," she smiled at them and let go of my hand.
We put the saddles on them and got on.
"Ooh lets go to that tree!" She said before making Brodie run to tree.
"Ella! Dude. You just left me!" I laughed and made Bennett go faster to catch up with them.
We hopped off and tied the horses to the tree and sat under it.
I pulled her to my side and she put her head in my chest.
"You're leaving tomorrow," she whispered.
"Yeah. I know. It'll be alright. I hate this so much but at the end, seeing the huge smile on your face when I come home will be so worth it," I told her.
She looked up at me and smiled.
"I love you, ya big dork," she chuckled.
"I love you too, nerd," I laughed and messed up her hair at the top.
She gasped and looked at me with wide eyes.
"I know you did not just do that," she stood up and put her hand on her hip.
"Oh but I did," I stood up and mocked her.
"You're gonna pay for that," she said.
"Oh really? You have to catch me first," I said before running around the tree in circles.
I made circles around the tree and before she could tag me, I turned around and grabbed her and threw her over my shoulder.
"HUNTER EASTON HAYES PUT ME DOWN RIGHT NOW," she laughed.
"ELLA MARIE LANCASTER SLASH SOON TO BE HAYES I WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT PUT YOU DOWN," I mocked her tone and laughed at her squirming.
"I'm only putting you down because I want to kiss you," I said after putting her down and putting my hands on her hips.
I kissed her and she wrapped her arms around my neck.
"Soon to be Hayes," she whispered as she pulled away.
"Yeah. Soon to be Hayes," I smiled.
"July 16th," she smiled at me.
"July 16th?" I questioned her.
"I wanna get married on July 16th," she told me with confidence in her voice.
"That's in nine months," I whispered.
"Yeah. I know. I wanna be soon to be Hayes for as little as possible. I just wanna be a Hayes now," she sighed dramatically.
"July 16th it is," I smiled at her.
"Oh my god I have to pick out flowers, and you have to get a tux, and I have to ask Sophia to be my maid of honor and Riley to one of my brides maids. And we have to figure out where we're gonna get married and who's gonna marry us. And invitations. Oh my god the invitations. That's so important. If we don't have invitations nobody shows up and that would be so awful Hunter oh my god," she rambled on in her worried voice.
"Babe, we'll handle it okay. We will get everything done in time. And July 16th, you will no longer be soon to be Hayes," I smiled at her.
"July 16th. Okay, okay, I need to stop freaking out," she let out a sigh of relief and a nervous laugh.
I pulled her closer to me and kissed her forehead, "I can't wait to call you my wife. And for you to be an official Hayes."
