Pretty soon people start getting on the boat. My brothers and I are trying to make as much room as we can. Captain Bodt is calling people to his boat advertising free rides to their destinations. I head out to the front deck to make more room for the oncoming passengers. "I can't believe we have to sit on these filthy things! If you're advertising free rides at least make sure everything is sanitary!" I heard a woman say to her friend. Her friend nodded in agreement. Please! It's not like it's that great where you're from either. You probably sit on moldy boxes! I pull the chairs out from under them, "If the chairs sanitation isn't that great ma'am, maybe the floor will be of better quality." I say with a sarcastic smile. They both scoff and decide to get off the boat. Good riddance! At least there's more room for the people who deserve it. I see Captain Bodt head into his office and pick up his phone. After I finish waking around on deck and seeing if there are people who need to get off, I head over to his office. The captain is still there saying, "No! You don't understand! We need to get people on the boats now! Mine's already reaching its capacity! Please listen! I'll tell you the-" I grab the phone and cover the transmitter, "You can't tell them, we'll both be taken away from our families and questioned, tortured, or put to death!" I look over to my brothers, "Please...they're all I have left." He gently takes the phone from my hands. "Of course not lil' miss." With understanding in his eyes he carried on with his conversation with the other boats, and after two more minutes he hangs up, relief in his eyes. "They said that they'll start advertising for free rides now, also their making room for this boat so that we can start dropping people off." I smile, "I'll go ahead and tell them to get ready for departure sir." I walk back outside. There's definitely an increase in wind, and the sky is telling me that it's going to rain soon. The water's choppy, which is going to make it harder for the boats to move. "Hey! We're starting to move towards the gates of Trost, if you all could please, keep your appendages to yourselves, and resist from wasting food and drinks by throwing them on deck, or in the water. Thank you!" I shout. "Well, why can't we throw this stuff in the water?" Said a high falootin' man. "What do you mean by that? Obviously, your trash could get stuck in the propellers! And if you make us have to stop and clean them, you're going to be down there with us!" He glared at me, "Well how would you know that it was me? And I can't swim!" I am beginning to despise this man, "Well then you better think twice before you waste and litter." Thankfully he shuts his mouth. I head back as the boat starts moving. Just as we begin to really head down the river, I hear fast thuds. They seem like whatever is doing that is big because everytime there is a thud the ground shakes. "Oh no! Sir! Mr. Bodt! Please hurry, it's coming for the-". There's a horrible tremble in the earth, and I'm knocked off my feet. I hit my head on some womans bags. There's another tremble and hit my head on something again. I sit up and everything is spinning. I hear a whooshing kind of sound and my ears hurt. I try to sit up, gasping for breath I reach out. Where am I? Something grabs my arm, and I fight the pull, but whatever it is it's stronger than me and pulls me out of the... Water, I was in water... Come to think of it there's a lot of people in the water. "Hey! Hurry up and get up here! We have a lot of people to save!" I get tossed onto the boat, still coughing and gasping, but I persevere, because if I take time to help myself, I can't save anyone else. I see that over half the boat is in the water due to a large rock sitting at the top of the boat. "Quickly! Get all the people away from the boats top area! Anyone that can, go to the back area needs to, understand?" I shouted. I heard various yells of agreement. Soon everyone was at the back of the boat and I was handing the ends of ropes out to everyone. "OK everyone, so here's what we're going to do. I'm going to tie the other ends to the rock at the front of the boat, and we're going to all pull to one side got it?" Everyone nods. I run to the rock. We only have a little bit of time before titans come streaming into the city. After I finish tying the ropes up to the rock I run to the side that's closest to the dock. "Everyone! Pull to the left!" I see the rock move about a foot to the left. Six more feet and we can move the boat to Trost. "More guys, pull harder!" I see the rock move two feet this time. "Come on everyone! Only four more feet, only four!" The rock moves another foot. "Three more!" I run over to the rock and start trying to push it. God! It's definitely heavier than it looks! At least 500 lbs. I move the rock about two inches. " Come on everyone! Just two more-" Dear God... There it was, a 3 meter class titan strolling through the hole, that will make Shiganshina, and Wall Maria known as hell. I push and move the rock about three more inches, I can tell that people are franticly pulling to the left because, the rock is moving. One foot, two feet! "Yes! Everyone! The rock is off the boat! Mr. Bo-" Where is he? "Mr. Bodt! Where are you? Please answer!" My brothers! Where are they at? I frantically run to the office and see that my brothers are still hiding in the small space allotted to us. "Plum, there's a titan! What'll we do?" Jacob asks. We have to find Mr. Bodt. I'm not sure if there's anyone else on this boat that can steer it. I leave them telling them to stay there and not to move. I walk outside and see more titans coming in through their new gate. Mr. Bodt is not anywhere on this boat. So I turn around to look at the dock. Bad idea. When I look over I see his body hanging off the dock, and his head, I presume, I under one of the boulders that flew from the wall. There's so much blood. I begin to run over, denial coursing through my mind. He can't be dead. There's still some hope. I get there and try to move the boulder, it moves a little bit, but his body ends up separating from his head and plummets into the water. Tears well up in my eyes. I've only known this man a few hours and he's shown me more kindness, self-less kindness, than I've ever seen before. Why do all the good people die the worst deaths? I lean down and whisper,"Mr. Bodt, you have been one of the most kind people I've ever met, you gave me hope that everything could be alright, and that's the greatest gift you can give. So I'll give you my name... Plum. Thank you Mr. Bodt, I'll never forget you. " I quickly wipe an escaping tear from my eye, so that no one sees me crying. I really hate that. Although I'm pretty sure everyone else is preoccupied with the titans coming through the gate. I quickly run back to the boat. There are two men and two women in there and they're about to start the boat. There's also two men at either side of the boat, handing out food and drinks, and finding places for peoples luggage. I hop on the boat and head to the office. When I'm almost there I hear a boy. He looks to be about my age, and he has dark hair and blue-green eyes. He's sitting with a slender Asian girl with a red scarf, giving him the stink eye. I'll never forget what he said...
