I decide to sit in the cafeteria for a while. There's an empty feeling in my chest. I should be happy... right? Bertholdt, the one and only person I feel understands me here, just asked me to go to the dance with him. My... whatever she is, is making me a dress. A beautiful dress! My family is safe. I'm going to be able to keep them safe.

"What's wrong with me?"

"Nothing is wrong with you."

Looking up I see the one and only Historia. Why is she here? She starts to slowly walk to where I'm sitting. When she gets to the table she sits across from me. "Plum. You said that if I wanted to talk, then..." she trails off. Her wide blue eyes searching my hard face. Her blonde hair falling into her face, she tries in vain to move it away from her eyes but to no avail. A cool breeze travels into the room, lightly blowing her hair to the right side of her face. What a familiar sight. And instantly I'm taken back to my childhood in the castle.

My hair is long and it's flowing behind me, I'm running. Down the hall. There's wreaths with the Military Police emblem emblazoned on them. Pillars line the hall and I weave in between all of them. The temperature is hot and I'm sweating in my heavy gown. The windows are open but there's no air entering the hall. Historia is far behind me, so out of pity I stop. She starts catching up. A breeze blows through one of the windows, while she's running. Her hair blows in her face.

"Plum, please. I have to know what happened to you."

Excuse me?

"Why do you care? You probably had an amazing childhood without me. Why would I tell you? Who else wants to know?" I replied angrily.
"No. Plum, please don't do this." she lowers her head. I start to move, but she reaches out to stop me. "I want to know. Don't you remember me? We were best friends, we were inseparable, we were family." she looks up at me, tears streaming down her face. "Please."

"Okay..."
