When we walk back in the room, Kathy's on the phone with who I believe to be her parents. Once she hangs up, she sees that I'm about to speak but puts up one finger to silence me as she makes another call. I assume she got sent to voicemail because she says, "Hi Ms. Farrah. Everything's going good up here in Canada. Sorry we haven't called, we've just been super busy getting settled and stuff. Ok, bye!"

She looks back up at us completely confused. "Where, what, when, why and how?"

Mitch and I start from the beginning--when we met her and Alyssa on the plane, how her parents coincidentally lived down the street from us, the crazy party.... Her eyes widen and her cheeks go a deep shade of red when I tell her that we kissed (which i found completely adorable.) Then to what led us here--Alyssa's parents' accident and Andrew coming over. And finally, the accident her amnesia and Alyssa's disappearance. "So you and Alyssa..." she trails off, pointing at Mitch, he nods. Pointing at me now she asks, "And you..and me...? Woowwwww."

Suddenly her eyes widen so large they look as if they could bulge out of her head.

"Where's Alyssa? Like we have no clue where she is? At all?"

We simply look down in response. "Oh. My. Gosh. I promised her parents I would take good care of her and make sure that she's ok. What kind of friend am I?" she whispers the last part.

Mitch and I attempt to reassure her, telling her it's not her fault and that we'll find Alyssa.

"Well then," she says, "what are we waiting for? Let's go find her!"

***Alyssa's P.O.V.***

"We can't just keep her here forever."
"Well she can't just go back! What else do you want to do?!"

They begin to whisper so I can't hear their conversation anymore. Who was that other voice? It was a girl that's for sure, but what girl would want to do this to me? I try to listen closely to figure out what they're saying.

"We can't just kill her. That's too easy. She needs to suffer," says the mystery girl.

"We're not going to kill her no matter what!" bursted Andrew, "We just need to torture her enough, make sure she doesn't escape and make sure no one tries to find her."

I need to get out of here. I quickly survey my surroundings, careful to make sure they don't realize I'm awake. I learn that I'm bound to a wooden chair which I could easily break. There's no windows, but some shelves and stairs that lead to a door, meaning I was probably in the basement. Andrew and the mystery girl stop talking so I immediately act as I were sleeping again. As they walk away from me, I hear the girl mumble, "I told her I would make her pay."
MAKI!?!?!?!?
