(please excuse any mistakes that I didn't catch)

Sitting in the corner with her mother Niri and Neytiri sat making necklaces, it was something that they did back home when they didn't have anything to do. Niri loves to make necklaces, because as she said "They carry memories and that whoever made the piece will live on within it"

"What is wrong"? Neytiri asked her oldest daughter, turning her eyes away from the necklace and looking up at her mother "Nothing" Placing her attention back on the necklace "Niri, do you want me to braid your hair" Slinging her head up to look at her mother, she shook her head fast

She hated getting her hair braided, that's why most of the time her hair was always in a down state because every time her mother did her hair it hurt and she got a headache

"Ok, then what's wrong"? Sighing she sat the finished necklace down with the others that she did "Will we ever get to go back home? As much as she didn't want to say anything, it bothered her all of it did

Seeing how everybody here is all comfortable in their own homes while she and her family are just...here. She didn't like how she and her siblings felt like outcasts around all the other kids

"My sweet child" Softly rubbing her hair "I promise you, when all this is over we will go home," Neytiri said kissing her cheek and whipping her eyes, she didn't even realize that she was crying

In her opinion he was a dick, he always thought he was better than everybody just because he was the Olo'eyktan's son

"Or what freak," He said smirking "Niri let's just go," Kiri said trying to pull her away but she turned around and punched him

"Don't do it fish lips" Lo'ak said seeing him getting ready to charge at his sister

"Or what" Lo'ak walked up to him before punching him in the face

"What was the one thing I asked" I shifted my weight onto one leg as dad yelled at me, lo'ak and Neteyam

"To stay out of trouble" Lo'ak whispered "Exactly, and you three knuckleheads go and get in a fight with the chiefs son" He yelled at us

"Dad, you can't be mad at us because he was picking on kiri," I said finally looking him in the face "Niri you're the oldest you should know better," he said

"I do know better and you know that I wasn't just going to let him pick on kiri and neither was lo'ak" He sighed and ran his hands down his face

"Lo'ak just go apologise please," He said looking at us "Apologize when he was the one picking on her wow," I said looking at him before walking out of the hut

I get that he was trying to keep everything under control cause we needed somewhere to stay, but punishing lo'ak just for sticking up for kiri is so fucking dumb

I sat down on the dock and stuck my feet into the water, looking at all the fish that swam around my feet I looked up when I heard somebody sit next to me

"Niri, look I know you don't like feeling like this but I promise when everything is safe we will go home," Dad said looking at me

I felt my eyes start to sting, I hated crying I felt weak and I can't be weak living a life like this but I couldn't hold it, I just wanted to go home

"Promise"? I asked my voice cracked from holding back tears "I promise baby girl" he said and it felt like everything came crashing down because I broke down in his arms

"I'm sorry daddy, I just don't like it here and I wanna go home, I just wish everything was normal and we didn't have to constantly hide" He rubbed my back

"I know baby girl and I'm sorry that you all have to live like this, it's all my fault and I wish I could've done everything differently so there would be no war," he said hugging me tight
