Sword Art Online: Re-Release

May 3, 2027: Kirito

Hey guys. I come here today with a hint of sadness. I will not be able to update that often this summer. I know...it's a real bummer. I will try to update as much as I can before then, but school ends in two days for me and I have turn in my laptop that I write on into the office before then so... I am sorry. Also, on a lighter note we have reached 6K! This accomplishment deserves a special chapter (maybe? You let me know) so lookout for that!

Floor 51: Boss Chamber

Silica explodes into pieces leaving me speechless. I have failed again. Another one of my friends, dead. I just can't save anyone can I? The boss swings the spear at me and I jump and dodge it. Everyone is frantically attacking it, but it has only lost two health bars.

After an hour and a few more dead people, it finally reaches the red on its last health bar. It grows eight more arms from its back and 4 more spears to match. The screaming fest then ensues as blinding spear trails are everywhere. I'm getting hit left and right and losing health slowly but surely. I look around at the others and I see Klein, Asuna, and Lizbeth also caught in the fury.

Lizbeth enters yellow but Asuna and Klein are still in green. Then, just as we all thought it was hopeless and that we needed to leave the boss room, a knight in shining purple with a cloak covering his whole body appears. With a giant purple gem encrusted axe that I have never seen before, slashes it straight on the boss' head.

It begins to shine a bright blue and explodes into millions of shining polygons. A giant Congratulations! sign appears over our heads and the door to Floor 52 Orden opens up. The purple knight stands up and begins heading towards the stairs. I run to catch up with him, "Hey! Who are you? I don't believe I've ever seen you before! Can you at least tell us your name?"

He turns and takes a look at me, and we have a stare-off for a bit of time. Then he turns and continues up the stairs. "Hey! Don't just ignore me!" I chase after him and rip off... her cloak? She turns around and looks at me with light purple hair and eyes full of shock. "Wait...wha?" She jumps backwards and puts her axe back into her inventory. She turns and dashes up the stairs.

Asuna walks up next to me and says, "Do you recognize her Kirito?" I shake my head in response. She raises an eyebrow, " I don't either, I have never seen her in boss fights. But she seems to be pretty strong. Did you see her at all durign the fight?" I think about and realize I didn't see her until she finished the boss. "No, not until the very end like everyone else."

I wonder who she is. We know nothing about her, and that is what makes her so mysterious.

Floor 22: Coral

"You sure you haven't seen anyone like her before Agil?" Agil shakes his head, "Nope, never seen her, never heard of her. But she seems like she is a top player. A new one at that. She must have been working her tail off to match up with you guys as a new player."

I sigh, this is going nowhere. Nobody has heard or seen her before. It's like she just showed up for that boss fight and disappeared. "Hey Kirito, does she reming you of Yuuki?" The name makes me cringe. A few months before we entered the game there was a girl named Yuuki inside of ALO. She was the strongest player I had ever met, and that was because she was permanently inside just like we were or are. Then she died, in real life.

In some ways, this new girl reminds me of Yuuki. She sports purple for one, and she is insanely strong and she is just a rumor. "A little bit Agil, but this one seems a little more quiet or reserved." Agil nods his head in agreement.

"Well anyway, I will catch you later Agil, I have some investigating to do!" I exit the shop and walk outside. I think over what we have so far. Purple hair, armor, and eyes. And a giant axe. You'd think someone would have found her by now. Surprisingly not though, even though those defining factors would make you stand out bad.

I decide to head to Floor 1 just for a visit. And to check up on the day-care. Those kids had to come back into SAO too. I visit the teleport plaza and return to Floor 1. I appear in the middle of the giant city and decide to walk around. I don't have to check on the day-care for a while.

The plaza seems almost empty, but it doesn't surprise me. Not many people hang around here anymore. Just bad memories from a special "System Announcement". I walk into the Hall of the Fallen and see all the names of those who are dead. I look in the S's and see Silica and Sinon's names there.

Why am I so useless? I can't even save those who are my friends! What makes me think I can save people from this game? "So, you visit here too huh?" I spin around to see the purple haired girl with purple flowers in her hands. She walks up to the wall and places the flowers down and then turns to me. "You lost someone special too?" I nod my head in response.

I remember why I was searching for her in the first place. "Hey, what's your name? Where did you come from?" She looks at me with a somber stare, "I came from a tiny guild. I am the last survivor. As for my name, it's Strea. And yours?" Strea, I've heard that somewhere before, I just can't remember.

"Kirito. Holder of the Duel-Wielding skill, level 97." She nods her head and starts heading out. "Wait! Where do you live?" She looks at me with a questioning face, "Here on Floor 1, why?"

"Because I just had a good idea!"
