Floor 30: Yami, Boss Chamber
"LOOK OUT!" The sword came crashing down on top of him and lowering his HP to the red zone. "SINON HELP!" I ran towards Yuuna with my sword at my side. I put my sword behind me to activate a sword skill. My blade charges strait towards the boss and it gets a clean hit. The boss drops Yuuna and raises his fist. His fist smacks down on top of me and my health goes down to 6879/8798. Someone pushes me out of the way as it's other fist comes down.
I pick up my sword beside me and throw it at the boss. One of it's fourth health bars finally empties and roars. It's giant Talwar swings at us I barely dodge it. It hits about 4 people and 2 of them shatter. The other two seem to be old front-liners and only take about half-damage. They jump back and pull out some heal crystals. Yuuna pops up next to me, "Sinon, you okay?" I look at him, his brown hair falling in front of his eyes. "I'm fine, just need a few seconds to recover. You don't look good yourself, maybe you should use a crystal." He was down in the yellow zone.
He shook his head, "No, I need to worry about the boss first. But be careful Sinon, I don't want to lose you." He gets up and charges at the boss with his hand axe and shield. I pick up my sword and stand up. Then I get punched backwards by the boss. A big red hole appears in my stomach and I see the red triangles floating out.
My HP reaches the Red zone and next to it I see 1837/8798. I quickly jump out of the way to avoid the death hit coming at me. I take a heal crystal out of my pouch and quickly use it and restore about half my HP. I get up to about 6174/8798 then I see about 5 others get killed.
Soon it's down to only one health bar. It roars and throws its talwar. It jumps by a pillar and lifts it up. It whacks about 10 more people. They all dissapear into a flash of blue. My heart sinks, there are only a few of us left in the boss room. Do I have to use it? I open my menu and go through the skill list. After Kirito died his Dual-Wielding skill went to me, whenever I'm training with it I always use his Elucidator along with my Dispeller of Darkness. I finally find it in my skill window and equip it. His Elucidator appears on my back and I draw it out.
I still haven't gotten used to how heavy it is, everytime I pull it out it always falls to the ground. But this is my way of remembering the reason I am still here. After all, he did save me from Death Gun. I just wasn't fast enough to save him when he needed me...
I see a piller of white coming towards me and I raise my swords to block it. My Dispeller of Darkness explodes but my Elucidator blocks the pillar. I run forward screaming and take the Elucidator and run it up the boss' body. It screams out and shatters into bits. A window appears in front of me, Congratulations! You got the last attacking bonus! below it I see the item, Revival Item (Lvl 2): Use it to revive any one person that has fallen. I can revive someone? How is that possible? Is it possible that the Batopsin has the ability to take them out of their comatose state?
Then it ocurs to me, I can revive Kirito... "Hey nice kill Sinon! What did you get?" I turn around to see Yuuna, the leader of the guild I'm in. "Uhm, nothing good, just a low level shield." He looks at me with dissapointment, "Awww, that's too bad. You're not a shield-user either. Oh well, I'm sure you can sell it for some good money."
I feel bad for lying to him, but if people found out what I have they would try to kill me for it. He leans in closer to me, "Just remember, the Bulbs of Hope don't accept liars." I look at him and shake my head. He walks away with the rest of the guild. And then I see them. Asuna, Lizbeth, and Silica. Ever since floor 29 they have been showing up. Asuna actually showed some grief in the fact that Kirito died. Some.
I go up the stairs to see Floor 31 for the first time. A sign is above the door that says "Hiant". So that's the floor name. I activate the teleport gate and say "TELEPORT! NAMITO!" The blue engulfs my vision and I find myself back home on Floor 29. Ever since the incident, I have refrained from Floor 23 and our old home. I don't want to re-live the fact that I was too late to save him.
What if I revive him and he shuns me because I didn't save him? What if he kills me as a payback? Or if he doesn't, what can I say to him? I probably would just stand there awkwardly and be like, 'So, uhm. How was it being dead?" Yeah... that wouldn't be good. Also the problem would be about his Elucidator. I don't know what he did to repair or strengthen it. So it's durability is almost used up. If it dissapears before I bring him back...
As I am walking to my house I see Klein. He sees me and runs up to me, "Shino! I need your help! It's Asuna, she's trapped. She's fighting but there's a non-stop horde of monsters. She can't teleport out either. I need as many people as possible!" I shake my head and agree to join. I can hear Asuna before I see her. She's screaming and I see her bar in yellow. "HELP I'M OUT OF CRYSTALS! PLEASE!"
We reach it and it's one of those traps you can enter but can't get out of. Like a chinese finger trap. A monster comes behind Asuna and hits her on the back and her bar goes red. "ASUNA!" I scream as I run towrds the box, Elucidator in hand.
