She'd used up to much energy while defending the ship that she was sure she was going to collapse any second now. Luckily, she wasn't alone. Percy and Jason were both ready to enter a coma-like state on either side of her, the trio slipping to the ground and leaning against the deck's railing to remain sitting up.

Now the Argo II was rocketing across the waves, getting them as far away from the disaster that was Charleston. Malia was sure she'd blacked out at some point, because when she opened her eyes again, the sea had calmed and the winds had died.

Coach Hedge had switched places with Leo, the son of Hephaestus moving over to where Annabeth and Piper were helping Malia, Percy, and Jason. Leo handed her a glass of water that she took with a tired smile, immediately feeling a bit better as it flowed through her body. Soon after, Hazel and Frank joined the group, eager to finally catch up on everything that had happened.

"No sign of pursuit," Frank said. Through Malia's somewhat blurred vision, she swore he momentarily looked like a bulldog.

"Or land," Hazel added. She looked a little green, but Malia couldn't tell if it was from the rocking of the boat or from her whacked up vision.

Malia briefly looked over the edge of the ship, scanning the horizon. Nothing but ocean in every direction. That made her feel slightly at ease. She was in her father's territory, meaning she'd be stronger in just a few minutes. Maybe an hour.

Leo turned to Annabeth. "Did you find the map you wanted?"

Annabeth nodded, though she looked pale. Malia wondered about what she'd seen at Fort Sumter. Possibly spiders?

"I'll have to study it," she said. "How far are we from those coordinates?"

"At top rowing speed, about an hour," Leo said. "Any ideas what we're looking for?"

"No," Annabeth admitted. "Percy? Malia?"

The daughter of Poseidon lazily rose her head up, tilting her head back against the railing. "The Nereids said Chiron's brothers were there, and they'd want to hear about that aquarium in Atlanta. I don't know what they meant, but . . ."

She was cut off by a coughing fit, her body doubling over as she tilted to the side, landing in her brother's lap with a groan. Gods, she felt sicker than when she'd gotten the flu and her mother had forgotten to get medicine. Worst week of her life.
