Episode 22

𝕾𝖊𝖈𝖔𝖓𝖉 𝕮𝖍𝖆𝖓𝖈𝖊

Opening his eyes slowly, Tae met his surroundings engulfed in slight darkness. He adjusted his eyesight through the dim light and looked at his left side hoping to see Gukkie, but he is not there.

' Tae pov : Where did he go? '

His heartbeat started to pound heavily in his rib cage.

" Tae : Gukkie..... "

He called his name. His voice was barely audible but got no response from him. His throat felt dry. He was not able to swallow his saliva.

He tried to sit on the bed but a piercing pain his right hand came to his consciousness. Then he saw the IV was hooked with his right hand as well as the peeping machine which was on the left side is monitoring his heartbeat.

Weird.....

Inhaling the fresh air deeply to comfort his throbbing lungs, he pulled out the needle from his hand. Immediately a small drop of blood dripped over his hand where the needle was attached before.

Tae looked around the surroundings and realized that he's not in his apartment, rather, admitted to the hospital.

" Tae : Shit!!! "

He cursed mentally . He had his panic attack again, so this is the reason why he's here in the hospital. Great . He walked out of the bed and switched the lamplight beside the table .

There he saw a nurse was sleeping on the chair, her head was leaned on the headboard and her mouth hung open. Not wanting to wake her up he walked towards the table when his eyes landed on the water bottle. He gulped down a large amount of water and let out a sigh of relief.

" Tae : I can't believe this. I'm still alive. "

" Nurse : Sir, are you okay?? "

A sudden voice was boomed through the silent room and he turned  his head to see the awaking nurse who was walking towards his direction where he is standing now.

" Tae : I'm fine. "

" Nurse : Okay . I will let the doctor know that you were awake. "

She said and turned her back to walk out of the room.

" Tae : No , no need. "

He stopped her.

With a furrowing expression on her face, she opened her mouth to speak.

" Nurse : i should inform the doctor that you were awake. This was a strict instruction passed over to me. Especially from your boss. "

She pointed out.

" Tae : Can't you see? I'm perfectly alright. I have no time for your bullshit ; my son is waiting for me. I want to leave right now and i don't care about other shit. "

He said harshly.

" Nurse : Your son is with your boss . "

She replied with a quiet and calm tone.

" Tae : What? "

He furrowed his brows.

" Nurse : Humm! They are waiting in front of the room. Probably they are sleeping now. "

' Tae pov : I might be heard her wrong, yeah right. Why would he be here? It's not his concern, my son is probably with Yeonjun! '

He convinced himself.
