Teenage Romance - Or More Than That? (PAUSED)

1: Being Late

It was 6am and Lloyds alarm clock rang. It tried to wake him up for the fifth time, but he was still asleep. Too tired from yesterday's swimming competition.
As the clock rang the 9th time. He was still asleep. At 8:15am, Lloyd finally woke up by himself. He opened his eyes and widened them. His room was too bright. Why would it be- "DAMN! I overslept again! Mom AND dad are going to kill me if they find out!" Now, Lloyd was awake. He jumped out of bed and ran to his desk. He quickly packed his school bag. After that, he just throws the bag in the hallway, running into the bathroom. "Hole, hole, ... hole again...AH COME ON!" Lloyd said pathetic, trying to find a whole sock, but he still finds holes or missing pieces.
After trying the 14th sock, he found 2 whole socks. They aren't a pair, but who cares.
Quickly, he puts on his jeans and his beloved green hoodie. He failed, trying to get toothpaste on his toothbrush. He puts water on it and then paste, shaking the brush, and the paste flew around. Next Try. "GOT IT!" Finally, he could brush his teeth. While doing this, he brushed his hair. After finishing in the bathroom, he ran to his bag, grabbed it, and sprinted to the kitchen.

Luckily, his parents are at work. He grabbed a sandwich that his mother made him and threw it into a box and then in his bag. Lloyd was nearly out of the door when he thought of something.
"Mom and dad are coming home late. I shouldn't forget my keys..."
He grabbed his keys and closed the door behind him.
While opening the garage, Lloyd puts his helmet on. As the garage was open, he quickly jumped on his motorcycle. It is black with green flames on it.
Lloyd turned the keys and went to school.

When Lloyd arrived at Ninjago High, it was almost 9:30. 2 hours too late for school. "Shit. Now I have detention..."
There were no students on the campus. For now. In 5 minutes, it will be full because of the first break.
"Lloyd?"
Lloyd turned around and saw his best friend smiling at him. Kai. "Well... I should have known that I'm not the only one being late for school." He thought. "Hey man! What is your reason for being late flame boy?" "Well you know me, Mr.Greenbean... I dont care about coming too late. But you? I know you hate school, but because of... you know... Your love... you try to be better than this!" Kai laughed, pronouncing the word love.
"First, Harumi is not my "love love", well for now. Second, I just overslept. And third, yeah, I want to get better. Not just because of Harumi, but also because I don't want the teachers to hate me." "That's something I don't have to worry about. The teachers always hated me. I dont know why, man..."
Lloyd raised an eyebrow. "You don't know WHY?" "Do you know Mr. Genius??"
"Yes, buddy. I'll list the things why teachers hate you, just for you:
You are loud, too energetic, you don't listen, you kick others butts, and you break all existing rules, my friend."
Kai just stood there like he was innocent and didn't know what Lloyd was talking about. "Whatever. Let's go to our lockers. We have physics next, you know. And you should listen there." "I always try to listen, Kai. What do you mean?" Lloyd started walking towards the schools entrance. "Because... you should know how to do a lovey dovey with your girl, bro..." Kai grinned. "KAI!" Lloyd gave him a deadly look. "OKAY OKAY! Calm down Mr.Green." Kai throws his hands up.
When they finally reached their lockers, the bell rang.

Lloyd was putting his books in his locker and taking other books he needed for the next lesson from it. He got scared when somebody tapped his shoulder.
He quickly turned around and saw an angry white-haired girl in front of him.
"LLOYD. MONTGOMERY. GARMADON. Why are you too late?" She said passive aggressively.
"Umm... overslept?" He answered. Her eyes were as small as lines now. Lloyd swallowed. She really can be scary when she's angry. But still: she is really beautiful...
"Can you forgive me, Rumi?"
"I have to. We work together in physics, you know." She turns around and goes to the library. She always spends her breaks in it. Lloyd doesn't understand why she loves reading normal books, not comics, but Harumi always told him that she loves, how quiet it is in there. And she loves the smell of books.
