Teenage Romance - Or More Than That? (PAUSED)

11: A Dance, Mylady?

After school, Lloyd drove home.
His parents are not there because they are with friends. Lloyd went into the kitchen, grabbed some snacks, and lay down on the couch.
After looking for the remote control for 5 minutes, he turns on the tv.
He went to Disney+ and picked a series. after a short time, he decided to watch "Prison Break".

After a few hours, he didn't feel like just lying around anymore. He could do that when else. The day is too beautiful for that. He turns off the tv and sits up straight.
"What should I do now?"
Boredom. Something Lloyd hates.
"I should probably clean up again. And apologize to mom and dad for my behavior lately. I could clean the living room as an apology."
Said and done. Lloyd gets the vacuum cleaner and starts. He opens the terrace door so that fresh air could come in.

Meanwhile, Harumi was on her way to Lloyd.
She wanted to be with him. She is just as bored as he is. But she hasn't found a task that would distract her. So she decided to meet her boyfriend.

When she arrived after a 20-minute walk, she rang the bell. Nobody opened the door. "Strange. I can hear someone?"
Harumi walked around the house.
Quietly she heard a voice. A singing voice. "Is it possible that he...?" she looked through the open door and had to smile.

The vocals came from Lloyd. And honestly, it sounds fantastic. "Since when can he sing?"
He is singing "Brother" by Kodaline.
"Nice song. And his voice suits it."
At this moment he came to the chorus.

"If I was dying on my knees You would be the one to rescue me And if you were drowned at sea I'd give you my lungs so you could breathe I've got you brother-er-er-er I've got you brother-er-er-er I've got you brother-er-er-er I've got you brother-er-er-er..."

"HI LLOYD!" she says loudly so he can hear her. He was shocked and immediately stopped the music and his singing.
"H-Hey Rumi...uhmmm I didn't know you wanted to come" He rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment.
"I didn't know you could sing." She walks up to him, grinning.

"How. How much of it did you get?"
"So much that I know how damn good you can sing. Where did you learn that?"
"Do I have to answer that?" "Yes?"
Lloyd just looked at her. "Pleaseeee!" "Okay..." he sighs. "Shower", he said so quietly that he didn't even hear it himself.

"What? Come on, tell me." "Sh-shower" he seems like he wants to sink into the ground.
Harumi giggles and takes his hand.
"Hey. Not bad. At least you can do it.
It would only be embarrassing if you would do it but couldn't. If someone then heard you, yes that would be embarrassing. But like that? You can be proud, such a fantastic voice to have."
She kisses him on the cheek.

"Can we sing together? I'll help you here too. I promise." "Don't you tell anyone?" "Also promised." They share a short kiss. During the kiss, Harumi took his phone and pressed the play button so that the music would start again.
Then they start singing.

After finishing the song Lloyd says: "We are very good duet partners."
Harumi smiles. "Yes. We are."
She puts her hands around his neck and pulls him into a kiss. Lloyd returns the kiss. After they broke apart again, Lloyd started a new song on the phone.
It is dance music.

"May I dance with you, my lady?"
"What makes you do that?" She laughs. "Well. We were already drunk at the party when a good song came on. That's why I want to catch up. Sober."
"Of course, sir." She giggles and extends her hand to him. He accepts it gratefully.

After about an hour of dancing, they slowly stopped dancing. "That was nice." Harumi smiled at her boyfriend's face. Once again they kiss deeply. But this kiss lasted longer than the others and was much more loving.
They had to stop when they ran out of air.

"It's late. I should probably go home." Harumi sounds serious but disappointed. "You could stay overnight. My parents aren't coming home tonight. They won't be back until tomorrow afternoon. We wouldn't disturb anyone and my bed is big enough for the two of us." He grinned dirty at her. She elbowed him gently. "You dirty mind. But okay. But first I have to ask my parents. What can I say? It's during the week and at school. I'm supposed to stay at home most of the time."

"Say you have a stomach ache and don't want to walk home because of it. And I'll take care of you. Or you're too tired. Some of this will work, right?" He smiles.
"Okay. I'll take the stomach ache variant. I'm on my period right now so that sounds believable. And my parents wouldn't want to pick me up anyway, which doesn't mean they wouldn't."
"Well then, what are you waiting for? Call them."

After Harumi's parents agreed, the two got ready for bed. Lloyd sleeps in his pajamas and Harumi took one of his hoodies again. They lie down in bed and cuddle close to each other.
"Good night sweetie."
"Good night Ru."
They kissed each other goodnight and fell asleep.
