It has been several months since Lee, Elena, and I got back from our trip through the Multiverse. It was nice having Chloe back in my life, I really missed her. But after we returned, Chloe and I moved, again, this time we moved to Los Angeles. Right now, we went to an amusement park, with some new friends of ours, and we were just waiting for them to show up.
"How long does it take someone to get here?" Chloe asked.
She was leaning into me, her head was resting on my shoulder, and our fingers were intertwined. Her red hair was flowing down my back.
"You know them, they are never on time." I answered.
"I know. But we can only get in with them."
"Too bad they didn't give us our tickets ahead of time."
"I know right, I mean, I love them, they are great friends, but I would have left their asses behind."
"Honestly, same."
"Oh, yeah, but the question is, would you have left them because you agree with me, or because I am going in?" Chloe asked as she looked up to me.
"Uh- I-, Well, you see- um-, can't it be both?" I flustered out.
"Yeah, but I like getting you flustered."
"Hey now, I don't get flustered, I just stumble on words." I tried to defend myself.
"Stumble? That was a fucking car accident."
"No it wasn't." I laughed sarcastically.
"Wow, Rain, one word man, whipped." Someone said.
Chloe and I both looked to the owner of the voice and found our three friends. The man who spoke, James Talon, was a tall man, a few inches taller than me, he had pale skin, and short blonde hair. He had dark brown eyes, with a clean beard around his face. He wore a jersey with STL Cardinals on it and he had blue jeans on and Nike shoes. The woman on his left, Alina Inkheart, was slightly shorter than me, and had dark skin, short black hair, and brown eyes. She had a L-Corp hoodie on and sweatpants with some green combat boots on. And the person to his right, Jessie Peterson, was about as tall as me, had pale skin with short brown and green hair, they had heterochromia eyes, their right eye was blue, and their left eye was silver. They wore an orange shirt that had a picture of a Pegasus and read 'Camp Half-Blood' above it. They wore blue jeans too along with a pair of Nikes.
"How long does it take you idiots to get here?" I asked.
"Dude, we hit every red light on the way here." James tried to defend himself.
"Every red light, really. Then why don't I believe you?" Chloe asked.
"Well, you are the smart one in your relationship." he answered.
"Hey!"
Jessie reached up and smacked him in the back of the head.
"Hey! Jessie!"
"Don't call him an idiot."
"Alina, how are you?" Chloe asked after laughing at the chaos those two made.
"I am great, Chloe. How about you?" Alina laughed.
"Well, you know, same old same old. Reconnecting with an old friend that I didn't talk to for a year, and well, Tyler and I have been waiting for about thirty minutes."
Oh yeah, she is talking to him again.
"Old friend? Who?" she asked.
"A guy I met back in Star City, Lee Raatko. He and I had a falling out, but we reconciled and are now working on our relationship."
