"TYLER!"

"ROY!"

"Ow."

I grabbed and pulled the arrow out. My wound immediately starts to heal. I look to Roy with rage of my own.

"Kill him."

Another woman appeared next to Roy. She had straight brown hair that went down to her shoulders. She had tan skin and blues and she was slightly taller than me. She wore a white blouse and blue jeans, and had bruising around her neck. Lydia.

"Kill him brother. He tried to kill you, he deserves to die!" Lydia screamed.

Yes. Eye for an eye. He deserves death.

I began to walk towards Roy, who seems worried now.

Why are you worried?

Before I could get closer, someone steps in my way and puts their hands on my chest, stopping me.

"Tyler, listen to me. You can't do this."

Her voice is calming. I look down at the woman in front of me.

Chloe. What am I doing?

"Tyler, you must kill him!" Lydia screams again.

"No."

Chloe places her hand on the side of my face. My anger begins to dissipate.

"Shhh. You're ok. The bad guys are gone. It's just the four of us. No one else."

I stared into Chloe's worried eyes as my anger disappeared completely. I looked back up and saw that Lydia disappeared.

"I'm good. Thank you." I said before I kissed her.

The kiss was quick, but after we broke apart, we turned our attention back to our guests.

"I'm sorry for trying to kill you." Roy said.

"You're alright. I'm sorry for trying to kill you too." I chuckled.

"Yeah, Mirakuru, not all that fun."

"And let me guess, blood lust?"

"Yeah."

"Great, now we're friends." Chloe groaned.

Roy and Thea chuckled at this.

"So now that we've got the pleasantries out of the way. Why are you here? And please don't shoot me this time."

Thea had already lowered her bow at this point, but this time, she put her arrow away and placed her bow down against the wall. Roy followed suit and the two of them lowered their hoods and masks as they sat down in some chairs.

"Look, I'm sorry for breaking in, it's just, we heard what happened at the amusement park, and we were already in town, we were afraid." Roy explained.

"Roy, you of all people can understand the fear that comes with the Mirakuru, with or without it. It's some scary stuff." I said.

"How are you able to regain control?" Thea asked.

"I spent every day since the siege trying to control my anger. I even went and trained with Talia for a bit. But even with all of that, I still don't have full control of this. Chloe does help though."

Chloe smiled at me before turning her attention back to the Harpers.

"Can I ask why you came here? I mean I understand the fear of the Mirakuru, but is that the only reason?" Chloe asked.

"Yeah, well, both of us went through a lot when the siege happened." Roy explained.

"Yeah, we all went through a lot. I was in the army, and Lee shot me with the cure, it didn't work though. Then I found my sister dead, killed by another soldier."
