first night?

As Wei Ying entered the guest room that he had been provided with, he realized that it was a shared room... With Jiang Cheng, well that's just great. Might as well kill himself before Jiang Cheng does, he thought as he was about to go to bed, but before he could do that, the light turned on, and he saw Jiang Cheng standing there and looking at him with anger in his eyes. "Wei Ying! Did you cause trouble again?!". He asked, clearly not caring if he did, he still was going to hit him." Don't call me that, It's Wei Wuxian to you".

He said sternly, although he knew it would make Jiang Cheng even angrier, he hated it whenever someone part of the Jiang sect called him by his given name, his mother had given him that name, and although she was a talented women and a disciple of Baoshan Sanren, ever since the Jiang's had taken him in, they had always referred to him as a maid's son. With no respect for his mother whatsoever and he hated that, so every time someone within the Jiang sect called him Wei Ying, he would always be reminded of how they never respected her or her death and how they will always view him as the son of a maid, even though her husband, Wei Ying's father, was Jiang Fiangman's sworn brother, the sect leader had never done anything to stop the disrespectful comments that the others would say, which made Wei Ying even more frustrated.

So that is why he absolutely hated it when a Jiang member would say his given name.
" Wei Wuxian, don't cross the line! I will ask you once again, did you cause any trouble!?". He shouted once again, making all of Wei Ying's courage disappear. "A little, but it is nothing serious, i promise I didn't do anything that would cause you any trouble!''. He said, knowing that he could never reason with Jiang Cheng." I don't care". He said calmly as he took out his Zidian, and Wei Ying already knew what was going to happen, and he dreaded it very much to say the least. But then again what can he do about it? Not much.

" You better be quiet Wei Wuxian". He warned as Wei Ying tried to run to the door to run away, as even though he wasn't scared of Jiang Cheng, he had to admit his punishments were quite painful and not something to look forward to. But as he almost opened the door, he felt a sharp pain on his back as he fell on the ground, not being able to bear the pain even though it was only the first hit.

He almost let a whimper slip out of his mouth." You thought you could actually escape?". Asked Jiang Cheng as he began laughing like some evil witch, and he continued whipping him with his Zidian. Wei Ying, as strong as he tried to be and not let out a single sound to indicate that he was in pain, couldn't help but let a small whimper out, at this point, he had at least 7 whip marks from the Zidian on his back, and they hurt a lot to say the least." Oh, looks like you've had enough, and it's a new record, good for you, Wei Wuxian.". Said Jiang Cheng as he let out a menacing chuckle, pleasure in his voice." How unfortunate that you have to sleep outside instead of here". He said while faking concern." Then where exactly do you want me to sleep?". Asked Wei Ying, breathless." How about you sleep outside, it seems very comfortable". "And if I don't?". He challenged.

"Then I will just have to tell Madam Yu about how you lost the invitation and me and Jiang Yanli in so much trouble". He said, knowing that his threat would work." But why can't I just sleep here?". Asked Wei Ying, still confused as to why he was being kicked out." Because, you and your dumb nightmares annoy the fuck out of me, I can't get any proper sleep because if you and you stupid crybaby ass!" Well that hurt a little, his nightmares were definitely not something that was as light as Jiang Cheng was stating it was, and he knew that he had the right to cry about those horrible memories that had turned into nightmares, anyone would.

Wei Ying didn't know how to respond, and was close to tears, but he would never allow himself to cry of Jiang Cheng. Never. So, he just stayed silent, not knowing what to say." Thought so, now get out! You've stressed me enough for one day". He said as he waved Wei Ying off, going off to prepare for his sleep. Wei Ying left the room and stood outside of the guest room, honestly, he kind of understood why Jiang Cheng didn't want to sleep in the same room as him, after all he did have nightmares basically every night, which would make his sleep schedule quite bad, so Jiang Cheng not wanting to have to deal with that was quite understandable, with those thoughts in mind he decided to just wonder around until he found a somewhat comfortable place to sleep. As he was doing so, he found himself of the library.

'This must be the library where I would have to go to for my punishment with Lan Zhan tomorrow'.

He thought as he went inside.
' I could just sleep here and save myself the trouble and sleep here and when it is morning I'll just wake up and wait for Lan Zhan to come'.

He thought to himself, it was better that outside, right? He went to a corner of the library and sat/lied down and slowly fell asleep.

As the morning hit, Wei Ying woke up, but it wasn't because of a nightmare, he didn't even have a nightmare, he had... Just had a dream about one of the few memories that he was able to remember of him and his parents. 'Why didn't i have a nightmare tonight?'. Although he wasn't complaining at all, just then, he saw Lan Zhan enter the library. He stood up and pretended like he did not just wake up.

" Oh good morning Lan Zhan". He said as he smiled, happy to see the other. " Why is Wei Ying so early?" Asked Lan Zhan." For a moment, Wei Ying didn't know how to answer, he couldn't just say oh yeah my brother kicked me out because of my nightmares and that annoys him so he tried to answer. " Uhm, well I just... Felt like it?". He couldn't think of another excuse, although this one was really bad and Lan Zhan didn't seem to believe him but the older man decided to just drop the obvious lie and start the punishment.

" So Lan Zhan,what do I have to do?". Asked Wei  Ying ." Copy cloud recesses rules". Answered Lan Zhan as he took out a rather long scroll, like really long. He gave it to Wei Ying as he sat down and showed Wei Ying to sit in front of him." I have to copy all of this?". He said as dread filled him, this was going to take forever, and it was basically a suicide mission for his poor hand. Lan Zhan simply nodded his head and began reading a book, waiting for Wei Ying to sit down and start. Which he did after complaining for a little more. To say that Wei Ying wasn't excited would be a huge understatement.
