It was now the late afternoon, Lan Zhan had gone to attend some important business, which left Wei Ying alone and bored out of his mind. He had nothing to do and Lan Zhan had told him to stay either in his room or at the library, as he was afraid that Jiang Cheng would do something to him, but the library was so boring that Wei Ying could go crazy, but the Jingshi was no different, so out of despair he went outside, he knew that Lan Zhan would probably be mad, but Wei Ying was so bored that he didn't care at this point.
As he was wandering around, he came across another one of the guest disciples, Nie Huaisang. He had heard of him before, the heir to the Nie clan which was currently ruled by Nie Mingjue. The young boy was known for mastering the art of gossip and he somehow knew everything, which made Wei Ying always be interested in the boy anytime he would see him.
So taking this opportunity, he decided to finally befriend the young Nie." Hi, I'm Wei Ying, courtesy name Wei Wuxian". He said, voice full of excitement. The young heir, slightly startled by the unexpected voice coming from behind, jumped when turning around to see who it was coming from." Oh hello, my name is Nie Huaisang, it is nice to meet you." He said smiling back at the smiling Wei Ying. " How shall I call you young Wei?". Not liking the formality at all he just told him." Oh, just call me... Wei-gongzi, I'm older than you." He said, still smiling." Oh, ok, so why did you come here Wei-gongzi?". He asked as Wei Ying sat down next to him.
" Actually, i wanted to know if you would be my friend?". He said with a twinkle in his eyes." Of course, I would love a new friend". Answered the boy. They kept talking and getting to know each other, when Huaisang asked a question." Hey, i see that you are quite close with Young Master Lan, are you perhaps dating?". As he asked the question, Wei Ying couldn't help but blush intensely at the question, and slightly look away from the younger. The truth was, he wasn't really sure how to answer the question, they had been really close, especially theses last few weeks. And if Wei Ying was being honest, he had developed a... Slight crush on Lan Zhan and he had noticed how the Lan was very protective of him and strangely possessive of him, and well, he didn't mind that at all.
"Well, if I'm being honest, i can't answer you as I don't really know myself". He answered with a smile and a blush in his face. 'i should talk to Lan Zhan about this topic later' . He thought to himself as he went back to talking to his new friend.
