Dear Diary,
Grade 11 has started already and boy! It’s a whole ass different from what I studied in 10th. It gets complicated more by time. I’m trying to coping up, sometimes by hitting my head, sometimes while crying but still coping up. Life is great.
He was back into his basketball tournaments, practicing all time, participating and of course, winning like the star player he is. Basketball is his life. The only sport I’ve seen him play. The only passion he’d keep till the end. And maybe the only thing he wouldn’t throw away like…
His marks didn’t seem to be affecting him at all. He was as carefree as ever. This wasn’t the boy I met. He was always the one who took both his studies and sports seriously. Now he only takes sports seriously, not studies.
He and Eva had become ever close since I last saw them hugging. They were almost inseparable now. Wherever he went, she followed. She attended all his basketball tournaments held in school.
I did too, but in a corner away from everyone where I wouldn’t be noticed, especially by him.
There were rumours of their relationship now. But they neither denied nor agreed to it. I doubt they hadn’t heard any rumours around them to not respond.
When was the last time ‘we’ hung out together like him and her? It seems to be decades now. She was my replacement now. And maybe in future, someone else will take her place.
Love
