Shoto's POV
Laughter rings out through the room, myself joining the crowd. An older male starts to speak up, he had white hair with silver eyes.
My brother, Natsuo.
Every month we meet up and have a meal in a restaurant we went to before I found out what my quirk was. It was a small wooden building and we were sat in a private booth to enjoy our food.
"There's no way someone would react like that!" He chuckles slightly as I nod slightly.
"I thought the same thing, but there he goes." I continue telling my story to him, letting our laughter fill the room. Once he calmed down, he asks me a question.
"So, how's father doing?" I let out a sigh and respond.
"Now that he's out of hero work, he's unbearable." He lets out another laugh. "He is actually coming to visit me in a couple weeks, for dinner. I was thinking about inviting you and Fuyumi to come along, if you're free." He nods his head slightly.
"I should be free. I'll have to check but I'm sure Fuyumi will be. She's always free in the evening." He heaves a sigh at her freedom. "But I'll try my best to make it." I stare at him skeptically.
"Natsu, you're not gonna try and avoid it because the old man's there, right?" He shakes his head.
"No, of course not. You know I've forgiven him for what he's done. I'll even drag along Mom if she can make it." I nod at the memory. There were a lot of tears, specifically from Father. "It's just that, work has been giving me some new hours so I'm unsure if I can make it to certain things. Hell, I was worried I might not make it here today."
"You don't need to worry about that. You're my brother, we can always meet at a different time. Whatever suits you." I give a sympathetic smile. He stare at me ridiculously.
"Wouldn't your hero work get in the way?" I wave him off as I reply.
"I have a very flexible schedule." Before we can continue, my phone rings. I look down in confusion as I look at the name. 'Commissioner Naomasa'. I scrunch my eyebrows. "Although that might change." I look at him sorry. "Sorry, gotta take this. It's the Commissioner." He lets me go and I walk out to the front of the restaurant. Answering quickly, he makes himself known.
"Todoroki? It's me, Naomasa. I hope I'm not disturbing you." His voice comes out tired.
"Don't worry, just having lunch. So what are you calling me for?" My confusion was evident as I asked the question.
"There's a case we've been working on, about Alecto. I'm asking if you'd like to join." I think it over for a moment, looking back into the restaurant. I let out a sigh.
"Yeah, I'll join. I already have a basic idea of what I'll be dealing with. Bakugo and Rumi complain about him a lot." I hear him let out a chuckle.
"That's good to hear. We'll be having a meeting in a couple days to catch you up on recent events, I'll send you the details."
"I'll be there. Is there anything else you need to tell me?" I hear him let out a sigh.
"No, that should be it. I'll see you later." I give a goodbye and listen to my phone hang up. Sagging my shoulders, I walk back in. Natsuo notices me annoyance and speaks up.
"Everything alright Shoto?" I shake my head.
"Yeah. I've just been put on a case about Alecto, the vigilante." He looks at me confused. "Anyway, I've still got a couple more hours until patrol so what else has happened with you?" He gives a smug smile and starts telling me what's happened, laughing as he does. I can't help but laugh with him as I hear the story, but I'm the back of my mind, I can't help but think about Alecto.
