"Can I talk to you, in private?"
My question gathered some more stares within the room, wondering what the hell I want to talk about.
All I got in response was a light nod before he stood up and walked by me, the same pup under his arm. I follow behind him, walking through UA until we reached the roof.
We stood in silence, simply watching the horizon. The sun was high up, watching us from above.
"What did you want to ask?" He broke the silence, his eyes staring into the distance, reaching the trees beyond UA. I hesitate as I try and think about how I should ask.
"What happened to you? Yesterday when you walked in you looked horrible, both physically and mentally. So what did you find?" Alecto stayed still, simply watching over the horizon, reminding himself what happened.
"Remember when I told you I had a sidekick?" I nod my head, already knowing that it might've been about this.
"Just over a year ago, he was killed."

Alecto's POV
Everything was going smoothly, the midnight breeze covered us like a blanket. I could see Daichi shivering slightly in the corner of my eyes so I slowed down, watching him slow to a stop with me.
I move closer to him and place my hands on his shoulder, rubbing him to try and get him warmer.
"We'll only be out for a couple more minutes, then we can go back." Even through the mask I could see his relieved smile. I stay still for a few seconds, rubbing his shoulder to keep him warm and the moment I turn, I push him away.
A blinding heat hit my chest with force, causing me to fly away a couple meters, something in my chest broken. I land on my feet, watching as someone jumps up onto the building we were on. They waste no time and start to charge me, only managing to give me a glimpse of one other jumping onto the roof.
Concern about Daichi raises inside me but I couldn't focus on it for long before the man reached me.
His fist was glowing and as I dodged to the side, light emitted from his knuckles, hitting the wall behind me, crumbling the bricks as it hit. I waste no time looking at the aftermath and place a fist into his side, knocking him back slightly.
He strikes back quickly, trying to kick me. I move to the side and grab his ankle, swiping my foot into his head, knocking him onto the ground and dazing him.
I could only glance back to Daichi, seeing him fight with a man whose arms had turned into long sharp blades. He was managing to block each of his hits and even hitting him back a few times.
I saw him land a hard hit before I pulled my focus down onto my attacker, listening to his groans as I swiftly slam my fist into his head, knocking him out. I look back to Daichi, watching him extend his arm only for it to get caught. His attacker moved quick, using one of his blades to slash at his tendon.
His arm turned limp as my eyes went wide. He tried swinging his other arm, getting caught again. The attacker twisted his arm and moved behind him.
At the sight I started running, panic running through my veins.
The pain in my chest flared at the sudden movement, causing me to stumble slightly, slowing me down momentarily.
My eyes catch Daichi's as my legs ran as fast as they could.
His eyes seemed to relax at the sight of me.
No.
The attacker pulled back his arm, his muscles contracting as he prepared to stab forward.
