Alecto's POV

27th November 2256

"Daichi!" My head spins around, hearing the familiar name. My eyes gaze into an alleyway. I take a few cautionary steps to the noise, trying to find out what was going on until I finally come across the scene, hiding in the shadows.

"Let her go!" My eyes drift towards the unconscious girl, Hana, held against the wall by two adults, each of them licking their lips. I feel my gut wrench at the looks they threw at her and before I can jump in, Daichi beats me to it. His arms shaking as he tried to lift them up.

It was a horrible attempt by him. Letting out a scream as he threw his arms wide, trying to hit them even if it didn't hurt. But his eyes, the fire that laid beneath them, it was inspiring.

One of them let go of Hana and knocked Daichi to the ground, bruises and scrapes all along his arms. I feel a smirk cross my face as he tries to get back up again.

"It's okay kid." I take a few steps towards them, watching as his eyes widen in recognition.

"Mister?" I give a short nod.

"You can rest now, I'll handle this." He goes to open his mouth, trying to object but before he can, I move.

Before they can laugh at me, I run forward, gripping his jaw and lifting him into the air. My eyes stared deep into his, watching as his widened in fear. He tries to squirm out of my grip but I grip his wrist and slam him into the ground, knocking him out instantly.

Out of the corner of my eyes, Daichi flinches in surprise while the other guy immediately lets go of Hana, tripping onto the floor. He backs away as my cold blue eyes simply gaze over him, making him shake like a leaf. He struggles to get back to his feet and once he did, he ran for it. Hana had begun to fall and I was just in time to catch her limp body.

Daichi runs up to me in excitement.

"Whoa!" His eyes light up like stars, forgetting what just happened. "That was soo cool. The way you just lifted him up and *Slam! He was knocked out." He stops for a moment as he sees me looking at him strangely. "Um, why are you looking at me like that?"

"Why did you charge at them?" He looks down sheepishly.

"I can't stand seeing people hurt others, so my legs kinda just moved on their own and before I knew it, I was back on my butt." My eyes narrow at him, trying to size him up.

"It was stupid." He seems to shrink on himself at my comment. "But it was brave." His eyes light up once more. I stand up, handing Hana to Daichi and getting ready to leave. "Anyways, I'll see you around."

Before I could even turn around, he called out to me.

"Wait!" I raise an eyebrow at him, wondering why he stopped me. "Please... can you please train me?!" My eyes widen at the phrase. "What you did, it's only something that I could dream of. But if you teach me, I can help save people. I can be a hero!" Again, my eyes were still slightly wide at the idea of training somebody. My mouth slightly wide in confusion.

Until it soon softened into a smile.

"Yes." He looks up in shock. "I'll teach you. But I want you to promise something. Everything I teach you, you can't show or tell to anyone. Not even Hana." He looks conflicted as he thinks it over, before his eyes stare back up to me, glistening with determination.

"I promise." I nod my head. "Wait, I just have one more question." I motion for him to speak. "What's your name?" I let out a chuckle.

"I want you to know before I tell you, you can't tell anyone this." He nods in anticipation.
