Shoto's POV

"Breaking news! The Gang known as 'Iron fist' have been killed in police custody. The officials have labelled it as a mass suicide." My head whips to the TV, looking at the man on the screen. Ryuichi Kaji. "The motive hasn't been disclosed but some believe it was to escape their punishment from burning down the Police station on XXXX street. Tune in for more, later tonight." My eyes narrow at the news. They're dead?

Of course I would hear news like this from Ryuichi Kaji. That asshole.

I feel a hand rest on my shoulder. Turning my head, Fuyumi enters my vision.

"Is everything okay, Shoto?" I hesitate for a moment before speaking.

"Yeah. It's just, that group pertains to an investigation I'm working on." She starts gently rubbing my back as someone else speaks up, a gruff voice.

"Don't worry Son, these things happen in hero work." I look to see my father. He still had a scar over his eye but his hair had started to turn grey at the roots. "Some people, they just do whatever they can to escape the consequences. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll complete this case without this group and from what I've heard, you've worked on less. it hasn't stopped you so far, it won't stop you now." He places a firm grip on my shoulder, Fuyumi now back to eating her meal. Before we can continue, a knock rings out through my house.

"That must be Natsuo and Mom." I stand up, sparing another glance back to my family. "Thanks for the words Father. This case has been sparse in details, I was hoping this would help get some more info. Guess not all dreams come true, huh?" He lets out a small chuckle.

Walking to the door gave me little time to thinks and any thinking I did, nothing added up. This was a group that went from harassment to arson within a day. Then planning to commit mass suicide to avoid something. Even the friend they were saving committed suicide.

This has to be staged.

Right?

Rumi's POV

"Rumi!"

My eyes snap up, the noise breaking me out of my thoughts. Looking to the source of the voice, I see Aizawa looking at me in concern, Bakugo and Nezu sat beside him.

"I understand you are distraught about Tsukuyomi, we all are. But we must stay focused." I nod in agreement. "So then, what's our next move?" I look to Nezu to see him in thought. I try thinking of something myself until Bakugo speaks up.

"We need as many allies as possible, right?" We nod and wait for him to continue. "Well, why don't we get help from the first person who tried to help us, Alecto." I raise my eyebrow at him.

"So you want us to ignore the current case we've been working on for years and work with him?" I bring my head into my hands, letting out a sigh as I do.

"I know that would mean we did a lot of work for nothing, but this is bigger than that." Bakugo tries to cheer me up. I hear Aizawa let out a sigh as he nods.

"He is right." I look up to him in confusion. "Alecto clearly knows more about this than us, or even Tokoyami. Having him with us will give a big advantage." It was Nezu's time to speak up.

"But what should we do with this information? It's as we've said, they've been controlling society for centuries. They've got people everywhere so we'll have to work without the commission or the police." He looks over to Aizawa. "You know as much as I do, we need police backing so we can do this legally. If we don't, we'll be vigilantes." His eyes narrow at that.
