Alecto's POV
Ringing filled my ears as I struggle to stand, a sharp pain in my back slowing me down. My eyes blurred as a bright orange light filled my senses. Something grabs onto my arms, causing me to push them away.
My eyes linger on them for a moment before someone else grabs my other arm. I respond the same and push them away. The ringing in my ears was unrelenting as I tried to focus on what was happening.
Everyone around me seemed to be fighting, making me confused. All of us were surrounded by a tall concrete wall with barbed wire standing at the top. My eyes catch a heavily armoured man holding a riot shield start to charge me.
What the hell happened?
The root shield slams into me, Pushing into another guard with a shield, squishing me in between them.
I push back the first, letting my instincts run my body.
I grab the edges of the shield and spin it, throwing him to the ground and grabbing the shield off him. I spin around to the other guard and swipe his legs with the shield, knocking him off his feet and jamming the edge of the shield into an inmate that started running at me.
I try looking around the courtyard, my memories swiftly coming back to me. My eyes catch onto a sluggish Mirko, watching as she was dragged away by a woman wearing a gold mask. My eyes harden on her as she dragged Mirko.
I start running towards them, using the shield to swipe at anyone who charged at me. Whacking another guard into the ground, my eyes catch a stray fireball coming my way. A quirk being let loose.
Lifting the riot shield to cover my body, the fire spreads across the shield, heating up my arm as I throw away the shield. Another inmate had run up to me, trying to throw a haymaker. I block it, grabbing into the back of his head and jam my other fist into his gut, knocking him out. Once I was finished I toss him to the side.
I look down to my arm, noticing the fire dancing along the fabric of my sleeve.
With no time to put it out, I push an arm to the side, hitting someone's arm and avoiding a hit, and jab into his face twice, knocking him out. I throw another fist in the same place, landing on another inmate that took their place in seconds and just like the prisoner before, they were asleep.
Moving aside, I knock another one of them out instantly and duck under a swing, grabbing onto the ankle. Lifting up their leg, I kick the inside of their thigh, lifting him up into the air slightly. In too much pain, he didn't bother getting back up.
Another guard had tried to stop my advance but I place two swift punches to their throat. They tried coughing but I keep hitting, hitting their head a number of times before charging back to Mirko.
This time, however, no one tried to swing at me. I close the distance in an instance. Inching closer and closer to Mirko and once I was close enough, I jumped up, drop kicking the women in the mask onto the ground, away from Mirko. She laid on the ground for a moment as I sat Mirko upright, hoping for her to get in touch with reality.
"Alecto?" I nod my head, keeping an arm on her back to keep her sat up. "Is your arm on fire?"
"I'm here Mirko, and yes, my arm is on fire." I grip her hand, Pulling it up to her chest. "And I could use your help right now, so stand up." She gives me a weak smile, steadily rising with me.
By now the women in the mask had stood up, glaring at me.
"You won't get away, Rumi Usagiyama." As I was about to charge at her, Mirko beats me to it, swiftly kicking her in the jaw, an arrogant smile placed on her lips. Seeing a moment to relax, I pat my arm down, extinguishing the flames on my sleeve.
