"Riley! Riley! Riley!" Is what I woke up to. Auggie was jumping on me, excited he had a half day. "I'm up! Can you get off me though Augs?" I asked, still half asleep. "Ok Riley. And Maya's here." He said then jumped off my bed and ram down the hallway. I got up and opened the window for Maya. "Hey Peaches." I said. "Riles!" Maya said, jumping on top of me and tackled me to the ground. She had come fully ready for school.  Maya helped me pick out my clothes and brush my hair. I put my small amount of makeup on and we went downstairs.

"Girls, time for breakfast." My mom said. "How did you know I'm here?" Maya asked, confused because mom never turned and saw Maya. "I call it my Maya Sense. You get into trouble? I know. You walk into my house, I know." She said. She turned around and asked if we wanted pancakes or cereal. I asked for pancakes. "Okay, what about you Maya?" My mom said when Maya didn't say anything." Oh, I'm not really hungry today." Maya said." Are you sure honey? I don't want you to get to school and be starved." My mom said. " I'm sure." Maya said, pulling her phone out of her pocket." The boys are leaving for the subway station. We better go." Maya said, walking over to the door and grabbing my coat and boots. I quickly put my plate in the sink and put on my cold wear.

We took the short walk to the subway and met up with Lucas and Zay. Lucas gave me a cute little kiss on the cheek, and Maya started fighting him. "Maya no! I love him!" I screamed. "I know." She jumped off Lucas and got on the train. We followed her and all took our seats. "Are you okay Maya?" Lucas asked when Maya put her feet up on the seat. "Yeah. I'm fine." She said. "Are you sure? You weren't doing to good when we were doing our homework at Topanga's last night either." Zay mentioned. "And you didn't eat pancakes." I said. "Guys, leave me alone, I'm fine."

"The constitution!" My dad screamed."The constitution. Yay," Smackle said sarcastically. "What? You don't want to know your rights?" My dad said. "I don't need to. I'm never going to get into trouble where I will need to know my rights." Smackle said. "Does anyone know our first amendment?" My dad asked. "Freedom of speech, press, religion, assembly, and petition." Farkle said. "Maya, say anything you want." My dad said. "No Mr. Matthews."
That really caught my attention. "The first amendment says I'm aloud to say whatever I want. It also says I can believe whatever I want. It says no one can post me without permission, and I can basically be able to do whatever I want. So why do we have a law saying we can do whatever we want, but then we have thousands of laws that say we can't?" Maya said. "Because Maya, we can't do whatever we want." I said. She looked at me. "Fine." The bell rang.
