I looked around at my three friends, talking to seniors, asking when 'Spin the Bottle' was gonna start. "Riles, let's go get drinks." Maya whispered to me. The boys were already on there way there. I nodded and we caught up to Zay and Lucas. Lucas handed Maya and I drinks.

We cheered, then all took a sip. "God damnit!" Lucas yelled, before taking the cup from me. "Lucas, I didn't even get a sip?" I said confused. "I know. You don't want a sip. Someone spiked it."

Maya, after hearing that, raised the cup to her lips and chugged it. "Maya!" I yelled. She pulled the cup away, and took a few seconds with her eyes closed. "Damn!" Zay clapped his hands. "What is wrong with you guys! Maya that's so unsafe! And Zay, why would you encourage her?" I screamed.

Maya and Zay shook their heads in amusement, and I heared a satisfied gasp come from behind me. I whipped my head around to see Lucas with an empty cup.

"Don't worry Riley. I takes us about three drinks to get drunk. Only let us have two." Zay said before copying Maya and Lucas. "I hate all of you." I said.

I didn't care that we were at a party surrounded by cooler people. I didn't care that they're my best friends. Drinking wasn't good for them. I ran to the nearest bathroom, so over my friends.

Tears streamed down my eyes as I locked the door. I could not believe my friends would purposely drink alcohol. They had to be insane.
I wiped some tears away. After a few minutes, I decided to go find them. I first checked the beverages. And then by the snacks. I went outside after, they might be getting some air. Again unsuccessful, I checked the living room of the house.

Maya and Zay were sitting on the floor in the circle, while Lucas was behind them cheering from the couch. Spin the Bottle had started. I watched from afar as some random girl spun the bottle, and two people kissed. It stayed that way, Maya and Zay being left out.

I sat down next to Lucas and he wrapped his arm around me. "I'm sorry for drinking. It's definitely not the first time, but I'll try to make it the last." Lucas whispered. I gave him a cute cheek kiss and said, "Thank you. Did you guys have anymore?" Lucas shook his head. "Maya and I stopped. Not Zay. He's pretty drunk." I honestly wasn't surprised.

"Well have fun explaining to his parents." I whispered, leaning my head on his shoulder. "Maya. It's almost 1:00." Lucas said, kicking her in the back. "Huh?" She muttered. "It's almost 1:00. You should be heading home." She nodded and whispered something to Zay before jumping up.

She walked around the couch and said, "Come on Riles." I kissed Lucas one last time before getting up and following Maya. I grabbed her hand in my and squeezed it tight.

When we got back to Maya's apartment, we walked through the door right after Katy. "You girls are home late." She said. "So are you. Work?" Maya asked. Katy nodded and pulled Maya in for a tight hug. "Don't stay up too late."
