I was sitting with Lucas at Topanga's after school. Smackle had a lot of studying to do, Farkle's dad called him home, and Zay just didn't want to come. And Maya. Oh Maya, was buying three brownie cakes from her mom. "Lucas. I have a question." I said. "Yes Riley?" He said in exhaustion. "What are we?" He leaned forward and looked at me. "We're us Riley." He said. "No, what are we? Boyfriend and girlfriend? Situationship? In-like?" I turned my head to look at him. "It doesn't matter. We're us." He grabbed my hands. At this point our faces were only a couple inches away. He leaned in, and his lips slowly hit mine. It took me a second to realize: LUCAS FRIAR IS KISSING ME. This is my dream come true. He leaned in, erasing the two inches in between our lips.

After a few seconds he took his face away from mine. "I don't know what we are, but I know I love you. That's the only important thing." He said and pulled me into a hug.

"Eh, hey. I got the brownie cakes." Maya said as she awkwardly sat down next to me. "So, uh, what's been going on over here?" I looked at Lucas. "We're us." I say. She nods. It was weird, because two years ago, she said she liked him at the same time as me. A year later he picked me, she realized she liked my uncle Josh. "Good for you." She says sweetly as she passes us our plates.

"Bye Huckleberry!" Maya calls as Lucas leaves the cafe. "So, you and Lucas. Let's see... Liley or Rucas?" She asks. I jumped in her and wrestled her. "What! I'm here to tease you Riles." I stuck my tongue out at her. "Did you guys kiss?" We hear a voice from behind us. Maya and I both whip our heads around to see him. "Aw what are you doing here?" Maya yelled as she threw her arms up. Josh grabbed her arms and put them back down. He came and sat on the chair next to ours. "I said, did you kiss?" He said to me. He must've heard Maya talking about us.

"Then he grabbed my hands and kissed me! I kissed him back!" I yelled. Maya and Josh both clapped. "What are you two?" I asked them. Maya looked at Josh. "Well, I'm turning nineteen, she just turned sixteen." Josh said slowly. "We have three weeks left of being two years apart." Josh laughed at Maya's statement. "Maya." Josh laughed again. "What?" Maya asked him, her face hardened. I noticed whenever there was a serious situation, Maya's facial features hardened. She does it unknowingly, and Josh privately admitted to me that it makes him uncomfortable, because she looks so good. "I need to go." Josh said, standing up.

"Bye uncle Jo-" Josh pulled my arm and it took me right out of my chair. "What?" I whined as I was pulled out of Topanga's. "Can you ask your parents if I can stay with you guys this summer?" Josh asked. "Um sure, I'll ask. Summer is a long time away though." Josh nodded. "I know, but Morgan is gonna be staying with mom and dad with her new fiancé, I don't want to see her." Josh said. "Did you guys fight or something?" I asked. I was getting confused, Josh told me everything that happened with his siblings. "Yeah, it's a long story. I'll tell you another time. Just please ask." He said. I could tell the argument was stressing Josh out, so I dropped it. "Yeah of course." I said. I walked back into Topanga's and sat with Maya.
