Death By Ambulances

Someone shot my leg out from under me. I swear I think it was Stephen so I shot him in the head while he was looking the other way. He said we were just going to grab my daughter and run. I couldn't tell which one it was. But he came into the grocery store ready to kill anyone and everyone and shot me first. Then started shooting up the place because my girls won't give up the money he thinks should be his for marrying my skanky ass as he puts it. We drove up from Texas to just get the trust funds. I am handcuffed with two policemen sitting by me while the EMS is trying to stop the bleeding. I have been searched and they found nothing on me but the gun in my hand. Stephen had all the bullets. My bullet wasn't the only one that hit its mark. Suddenly their is a crashing sound. Everything goes dark.

EMS Snyder
The crash happened too fast and I couldn't get the patient secured.as I was being tossed around as well as the two policeman. We apparently ran into an ambulance heading too fast to the entrance of the same hospital we were headed towards. Suddenly the doors open and we are brought out one by one. The patient/prisoner is not breathing. I am on a gurney watching as they try to get her resuscitated but there is no use. Her neck was broken when we flipped upside down. Her head look purple when they brought her out and blood running from her mouth and nose. They need the doctor to pronounce TOD. They haul all of into the ER everyone in the other ambulance are being treated as well. This is going to be a huge mess to clean up.

Ray
Shawn has advised me of everything that he witnessed and Ariana is being treated for shock and scratches mostly but they want to make sure there is nothing else. I am called to the hospital to calm Ariana down. I call Anastasia and have her come to the hospital and make her security brings her. Warren arrives bringing Anastasia with him thirty minutes later. Shawn is telling me what caused him to tell Ariana to get down. I gave all their security photos of Stephen and Carla Morton and all carry guns, but won't shoot if in a crowded or when innocent people are around them. They will go for cover and shoot when they can. He was never able to get a shot at them. But he recognized them both and they started shooting after he got Ariana down and away from sight. Two shots went over their heads and he moved her further back into the store. They must have been following her. I am betting that they were following Anastasia as well. They are still collecting evidence at the crime scene. It's a huge mess, they don't know the number of casualties. I was rerouted to another entrance because the ambulance entrances were blocked off and the other road to the emergency room had to be used by incoming ambulances.

Policeman Sharp
I go try to talk to one of the people who wasn't shot and the young woman who he is hovering over. A olde man arrives and hugs the young lady as she is gasping for air in a panic attack. Both men talk her back to a steady rhythm of breathing but she can't stop crying. I ask who they are and were they in the grocery store when the shooting started.

Shawn
I tell the policeman exactly what happened and why I had Ariana get down just as bullets flew by our heads. I saw the two before they shot trying to kill Ariana. He asked me why I thought she was the target and not me and Ray told him.

Ray
I tell Sharp why my ex wife and her husband were trying to kill her daughters. He nods his head in understanding and asks me if I can identify my ex wife or her husband. I pull out their photos and hand them to him. He verifies that it looks like the shooters. He asks if he can keep the photos for now and I allow him and he says he needs my daughter to answer questions when she is ready. Hopefully soon. I watch as he walks away. Ariana's phone buzzes and I take it out of her purse and it says Ethan and he says he is on his way to pick her up for dinner. I type back this is her father she's in the ER and is probably not going to make it to dinner.

Ethan
What hospital? Is it okay to bring dinner to her?

Ray
Sure bring it for six though and get yourself something too.

Ethan
Sure thing I ask him what would be good and he says KFC or Chinese just doesn't matter at this point. I laugh and tell him I will get it and find them.

Ray
I tell Ariana that Ethan is bring us dinner and she smiles and I give her a hug. I know him through Jose Jr and Anastasia. Only because Jose and Anastasia bartered housekeeping and cooking for his maintenance of the girls VW beattles. Otherwise I don't know them that well and neither does Anastasia. Jose jr knows them quite well. Jose jr will tell me everything about them for sure.

Ethan
I finally arrive and am led to where Ariana is at and she looks so tired and upset. I set things down on a table and let the others dig in. I see Anastasia and another security person standing there and Shawn from the day before. I get a plate for Ariana and feed her bites of food. I kiss her head and tell her whatever it is will get better. She smiles and takes another bite of food. I get her water from her bedside table and have her get a drink of it. She finally has had enough and I wipe her mouth and throw the plate in the trash and Ray hands me a plate of food and a glass of water. Ariana finally falls asleep.
