"It was just announced," Jinni said as she read the notification that came across her phone.

She locked it before setting it down on the nightstand and sitting up against the pillows on the bed.

"How are you feeling?" You asked as you scooted closer to her.

You put your arm around her as she lowered her head and let out a shaky breath.

"Nervous. Sad. Confused. I don't know, I feel a lot of things right now."

You nodded your head understandingly as you brushed your fingertips across her arm.

It was just announced that Jinni was leaving the group and although it was one of the hardest choices she ever had to make, it was one that felt right for her.

"I feel like a let a lot of people down." She sniffled. "I know people are going to be so disappointed and some might even hate me for it."

"They might be a little sad that your journey in NMIXX has come to an end, but the people that love and care for you are not going to hate you."

She looked at you with tears in her eyes.

"I never thought that this day would come. I saw myself going all the way with the girls."

"But it's okay that you didn't. Jinni, you have to put yourself first sometimes. Though it's hard, if it feels like it's what you needed to do, then you made the right choice."

She sniffled before wrapping her arms around you and burying her face in your neck.

The reasons behind her leaving are something she didn't want to share with anyone but you and the girls and JYP was respectful of that, swearing they'd never tell the reason behind her leaving.

It would be a mystery to the fans that adore her, but you hoped they'd be understanding.

"It's okay, baby." You said softly as you rubbed her back while a few tears fell from her eyes and against your skin.

It was such a hard thing for Jinni to do.

She loved being part of NMIXX; it was a dream come true.

But it just wasn't meant to be and it wasn't going to work out for her and as hard as that was to confess, it was necessary.

She clutched you tightly, feeling as though you were the only thing that she had to turn to; the only one that understood and supported her unconditionally.

You understood her reasoning behind her decision and you know that the news is going to come as quite a shock for fans.

But you know that she'll always be loved by many, especially you.

"I should see how people are reacting." She sniffled as she pulled away from you to reach for her phone.

But you stopped her and pulled her back into your embrace because you knew that wasn't a good idea.

"Not right now, baby."

"I hope the fans know how much I love them and how grateful I am for letting me live out my dreams while I was part of the group."

"They do, my love. They love you just as much and I guarantee they always will."

She stared up at you with a small smile.

"And so do the girls."

"I'll miss them." She said as she toyed with your fingers nervously.

"They'll miss you too. But they'll always be here for you. If there ever comes a day when you decide you want to go shine on stage again, you'll have a lot of people to support you."

"Thank you for being here for me." She sighed as she buried her face in your neck again. "I love you."

"I love you too, baby." You said as you kissed her head. "Everything will be okay. You just have to give it some time. But, no matter what, you've always got me."

She smiled a little against your skin, feeling as though you were the only one keeping her from falling apart as the news sinks in for the world.
