"Jinni, look, your girl is here!" Bae smiled as she playfully nudged Jinni's side to catch her attention.

The girls were all sitting down to take a break and catch their breath after spending the last couple of hours without taking more than a minute to pause.

Despite only having a comeback a few months ago, they're already hard at work preparing for the next.

It's still a couple of months away but they've got some stuff done and they're preparing for it, along with working their butts off for performances and other big things.

Jinni had her head resting on Lily's shoulder, watching her friend scroll through her phone momentarily as she took a moment to unwind, too.

Jinni lifted her head to look at you with tired eyes and you felt bad to see her looking so exhausted.

She's working so hard and pushing herself a lot harder than she's ever done before.

It's a little worrying for you that she's lacking so much sleep but what worries you more is not knowing whether or not she's eating while she's working so hard.

So, you decided to take matters into your own hands today and come by to make sure she was cared for.

"What are you doing here?"

You were surprised to hear the words fall from her lips.

Sure, your visit was unexpected.

But you thought she'd be happy to see you.

Instead, she's just frowning and looking at you in annoyance, which is a look she never gives you.

"Well, hello to you too." You sassed as you held a bag out for her. "I made you some food."

"You brought me food?" She asked and while the other girls found that to be sweet and precious, she wasn't feeling that way. "I'm an adult, Y/N. I can make or order my own food if I get hungry."

"I know. But I know you're tired and I wanted to do something nice for you." You said with a proud smile.

"That's cute!" Kyujin smiled.

"Gosh, Jinni, it smells amazing and if you don't want it then I'm going to steal it and eat it for myself," Haewon said.

Pulling the bag out of your hand, Jinni quickly handed it to Haewon.

"Knock yourself out."

"Jinni, I was joking," Haewon said as she put the bag on Jinni's lap. "Y/N made it for you. Eat it."

"I'm not in the mood," Jinni grumbled. "And next time, can't you text me or call me that you'll be coming by? I'm kinda busy here and I have important things to do."

The tone of her voice was a little harsh and you couldn't hide that her words cut you a little.

"Jinni, stop. Be nice." Jiwoo said.

"You've got a great girl here. She loves and cares about you. Be nice to her." Lily lectured.

"I have to deal with her at home, I'd like to be unbothered by her here at work," Jinni said as she looked at you.

"I was just trying to be nice. I know you've got a lot on your plate right now and I wanted to make sure you were eating today."

"Fine, well can you just go now!? You cling to me all the time at home, don't start clinging to me here now too. Stop worrying about me. I'm a big girl. I can take care of myself!"

"Jinni!" Sullyoon gasped.

"Fine. If that's how you feel then I'll go." You said.

"Thank you!" Jinni said.

"Oh, by the way," You paused as you reached the door of the practice room, spinning around to look back at her and the girls. "Don't expect me to be home when you're done with work tonight. I try to be nice and care for you and this is how you treat me? I don't deserve that and you know it!"

You stormed out, slamming the door behind you so forcefully that it made the girls jump.

"Jinni, what's wrong with you? Why would you act like that?" Lily asked.

"You owe her a huge apology. In fact, you should be begging on your knees for her forgiveness. That crossed so many lines. You should be so disappointed in yourself." Haewon said.

Jinni hung her head as she huffed, knowing that they were right.

She messed up and she messed up badly.

How would she ever be able to make this up to you?

She had a lot of apologizing and making up to do for the things she said because you were completely right - you didn't deserve any of that.

And she was willing to do whatever it took for her to understand how sorry she was for every word she said.
