you fall asleep on her (requested)

"I'm not so sure about having a movie night tonight."

Those words that fell from Jinni's lips completely broke your heart.

It's all you've been thinking about for the last couple of days, since you two made plans to spend the evening together.

It's what you've needed, especially after the long and exhausting day that you had.

"What? Why not?" You asked, staring at her sad and tired eyes.

"You had a long day, baby. You look so tired. I think it would be best if you just laid down and got some rest."

"But I want to spend time with you, Jinni. Please. It's all I've been thinking about. It's all that's gotten me through today."

She can't ever say no to you.

Especially knowing that you've used your quality time with her as your motivation to get through the day.

Something about that just melted her heart.

"Okay. Come here, sweet girl." She smiled as she pulled you closer.

Starting the movie, she gently pushed your head to rest on her chest.

A few kisses were pressed against your head as her lips brushed against there, causing a smile to tug at your lips.

"I love you so much." You said as she stared into your eyes. "I've missed spending time with you."

"Same here, my love." She smiled and kissed your head again. "Tell me honestly - are you tired?"

"Yeah." You confessed. "It was a rough day."

She sent you a sad smile as she began to play with your hair.

"But I'll be fine. I'm going to finish this movie with you."

She didn't believe you when you said that.

But she didn't say anything in response.

She just smiled a little as she looked away from you and to the tv screen.

She continued to play with your hair and you began to yawn, struggling to keep your eyes open.

They'd already been heavy to start with since you admittedly felt sleepy but it was getting to become harder to ignore the heightening exhaustion you felt.

And on top of her playing with your hair, the feeling of her warm legs tangled with yours and the comforting smell of her perfume on her skin that you breathed in with your head on her chest, it brought you such contentedness and security that you couldn't help but relax.

And as you relaxed, your eyes instinctively slipped shut.

"Jinni," you mumbled. "Stop playing with my hair."

She chuckled and stopped but didn't pull her fingers away.

"You're going to make me fall asleep."

"Okay." She said before she continued to play with your hair.

"Jinni," you whined. "I don't want to fall asleep. I want to stay awake and spend time with you."

"I'll wake you in a couple of hours. That way, we'll still have a little time together before we go to sleep."

You managed to open your eyes to look at her for a second, watching as she lovingly stared at you.

"You're beautiful." You mumbled.

"You're even more beautiful." She said.

"Sorry that I'm so tired." You mumbled and Jinni frowned before shaking her head.

"Shh, don't worry." She whispered softly. "It's fine. I understand. You're tired and you need a little rest."

"Okay." You said as you started to fall asleep. "Will you promise to wake me soon?"

"I promise." She assured before kissing your cheek.

After, she reached for the blankets and pulled them up to your shoulders, tucking you in under them.

"Cute and cozy." She smiled and watched you do the same just as you were about to fall asleep. "Sleep tight, baby. I love you lots. I'll be here to hold you the whole time."

And as you fell asleep with your head on her chest, her fingers in your hair, her heartbeat in your ear, and her legs tangled with yours, you felt an immense amount of comfort and safety.

And, true to her word, Jinni would wake you up soon.

But, until then, she'll spend her time watching you sleep rather than watching the film.

You're a much more beautiful sight and she'd rather keep her eyes on you, taking in every beautiful feature and listening to your every breath, than watch some movie she only wanted to watch because you did.
