Aurora came home from the hospital today, and I broke the news to her. She was in tears after I told her that I had to homeschool her from now on. It destroyed her. She won't come out of her room. She won't talk to me. I would've been better off not telling her. I should've waited. Now she hates me. There's nothing I can do right now at this moment to fix this broken mother-daughter bond between us. She needs time. She needs to cope. I need to back away for the time being. She needs her space. She needs her privacy. She needs to realize what I'm doing is for the best. Without this, she'd be in the hospital every single school day. She needs to recognize and grasp that. If she doesn't, there's nothing much we can do. She's a sick little girl. She needs to face the facts. She needs to face reality.
