I got news from Erico today. "The funeral was a success," he told me over the phone. "It was a time of many tears, remembrances of years past, mourning." Poor honey. Poor baby. He was really close with his abuela. Now she's gone. "I'll be back home by the end of the week if all goes as planned," he continued. "Borders are tight right now. It could be weeks maybe even months before I'm home in America with you and Gracia pequeña again." This is serious. What if he can't get home? What if he's stuck over there? How will I care for our daughter on my own? She needs a father at home. This is not good news for me at all. "I'll try to make it home or rather get home as soon as I can. I'll do my best. I'm not making any promises, though. I'm not sure about anything at this point," he continues on. "Ciao!"
