dialogues in italics are Alicent's inner thoughts.

Alicent opened her eyes and met with the white ceiling of her queen chambers. She slowly sat up to see that she was heavily pregnant. She didn't know how far back had she gone in time as the goddess hasn't told her anything. But judging by her pregnant belly and red and black curtains in her room that means she's either pregnant with Aegon or Haelaena since she completely got rid of red and black and replaced it with green by the time Aemond was born.

She slowly got up from the bed minding her pregnancy belly Oh Sevens she has to go through giving birth all over again she groaned at that thought. She walked towards the mirror in her room and was unsurprisingly met with the younger version of her.

She still couldn't tell which year it was Shrykos refused to tell her, something about ruining the element of surprise whatever that was. So, she just stood there admiring her younger self in the mirror going through four pregnancies changed her body a lot and over the years she lost the innocence in her face, the light in her eyes.

Her thoughts drifted to all the things that were happening it still felt like a dream that she would wake up any moment and find herself in the room that she was kept in after the dance ended like this was some cruel joke that the gods were playing on her. She pinched herself and felt pain Well you shouldn't feel pain if it's a dream right, does that mean everything is real?

She was lost in her thoughts when the doors to her chambers opened and maid Talia came in clearly surprised to see her up already "Good morrow your grace, I was just coming to wake you up."

"It's fine Talia, can you run me a bath." Talia just nodded before going to prepare her a bath. She really needed it right now to clear her head and to help her aching body after that she can think about what to do next.

As her maids prepared and helped her bathe one of the maids commented on her discomfort "The first pregnancy is always the difficult one your grace." Well, that answers my question, so I'm pregnant with Aegon, Great. She just smiled at her maid and tried to relax in the bath.

After they helped her get dressed, she dismissed them. She first met with Viserys to break her fast in hopes that Rhaenyra would be present but she wasn't there. So, it was just her and her husband. She took her seat next to him. He looks young (well not that young but still) so different from the corpse of a man she saw in his final years after Nyra and her kids left King Landing.

She feels guilty for what she did after his death maybe if she didn't misunderstand his words and think he wanted Aegon as king maybe the war wouldn't happen. No, I can't think that my father was planning for that ever since I got married even if I didn't misunderstand, it wouldn't have changed the outcome. I can't dwell on my past life. I need to focus on this future and the second chance I've got.

"Alicent" Viserys called her bringing her out of her thoughts she met his eyes which held slight concern in them. "Is something bothering you, my Alicent." It feels weird to hear him say my name in his last years he could only address me as his beloved Aemma or Rhaenyra. "Nothing, Husband. Is Rhaenyra not here yet." She asked him taking a sip of her water.

"No, I have sent for her but apparently she hasn't returned from her dragon riding yet this morning." He replied with a saddened expression.

"Everything will be alright husband, she will come around." She tried reassuring him for all his faults he was still nice to her. He was not the ideal husband she always dreamed but then again, she didn't dream of anyone except Nyra as her husband ever since she had grown feeling towards her still, she would've ended with much worse so she was at least grateful that Viserys was a kind man.
