Alicent opened her eyes to meet the familiar ceiling, her mind was fogged for a couple of minutes until she remembers everything that happened how Rhaenyra held her during birth, Nyra whispering sweet nothings to her encouraging her to push, Nyra promising that she would be here when she wakes up. Aegon was born well into the night and now the sun has started to rise.

Alicent sat up to look around the room and found Nyra sitting in the chair near her bed holding her son securely in her arms and Aegon was sleeping peacefully just like his sister. The sight filled Alicent's heart with warmth. "They look adorable, don't they." A voice startled her out of her thoughts. She looked toward the voice to find that the culprit was none other than Skrykos who was looking at Nyra and Aegon. Of course, who else would it be. Alicent smiled at her before looking back at Nyra.

"I was really scared yesterday I thought you would let me die," Alicent told the goddess after a moment of silence.

"Alicent, you and Nyra have our blessings. You have to stop thinking that we are trying to punish you, we are on your side we won't betray you." Shrykos told her trying to reassure her.

"I'm sorry but I can't help it." "Alicent you are much smarter than you give yourself credit for don't let anyone tell you otherwise. We choose you because we believe you are the one to unite this house and We will always protect you, remember that." The goddess told her. Alicent searched her eyes to try to find if she was lying but she found none.

"Besides you already took the first step in changing the future, now you just have to make sure you don't stray from that path. And I know you will succeed in it." "Thank you" Alicent smiled at the goddess thankful that she is here to guide her.

"Alicent" Rhaenyra whispered before Alicent could say anything else to the goddess making her turn towards Rhaenyra. "Good morrow, Nyra." She greeted her with a genuine smile.

"Good morrow, how are feeling and who are you talking to" Alicent turned to where the goddess was to see her gone. "No one. I'm feeling well. Now if you don't mind I would like to meet your brother." Alicent smiled at her teasingly which bought a smile to Rhaenyra's face before she stood and walked towards Alicent. Nyra handed the babe to Alicent before walking towards the inform the guards to send for a maid for the food before coming back and sitting next to Alicent and joining her in watching the babe.

"He looks so much like you well except for the hair and eyes. Father named him Aegon." Rhaenyra said wanting to see her reaction.

"Viserys?" Alicent asked confused she was pretty sure that it was her father who named him Aegon to strengthen his claim to the throne. "Well, apparently your father told him that YOU wanted to name him Aegon."

"What! and your father believed him." "My father would believe anything your father says," Rhaenyra said like it was a fact and Alicent can't deny it Viseryas will believe anything her father says unless that concerns Rhaenyra.

"Rhaenyra you have to believe me I didn't have any say in this matter," Alicent told Rhaenyra looking at her with pleading eyes to believe her she knows that Viserys might not see why her father wanted to name her son Aegon but Rhaenyra surely understands her father's scheme she didn't want Rhaenyra to think she was a part of that.

"Alicent, I know you didn't have anything to do with it. I want to say sorry for how I've treated you this past moon." "No, Rhaenyra-" "No, Ali. I knew your father was responsible for your marriage and you didn't have a choice in that but I still ignored you because it hurts too much, for the past moons you have been doing everything to reconcile with me and I've done nothing but push you away. I was scared that you would betray me for him again so I pushed you away but yesterday when you were in labor I was so scared that I would lose you forever. I don't want to lose you again Ali."
