A/N: I forgot to write the canon scene where Alicent convinces Viserys to send aid to the stepstones but it happens here too.

Alicent retrieves to her chambers after dinner with the King and Rhaenyra. Alicent's mind was running as she made her way to her chambers. When she reached her chambers she saw Ser Arryk standing guard as Helaena is staying in her chambers at least until she was one name day old just like Aegon did before moving into the nursery. Helaena's nurse should have already put her to sleep. So, she was genuinely surprised to see Shrykos holding Helaena while making faces at her which bought tiny giggles from the princess.

"Hello, Alicent." Shrykos' greeting bought Alicent out of her shock.

"I thought no one can see you"

"Well, your daughter is quite special. So, I am not surprised that she can see me." Shrykos told Alicent as she slowly and gently started rocking the babe lulling her to sleep.

Alicent smiled at her daughter. "She is quite special." She tore her gaze from her daughter to the goddess that was holding her daughter. "Is there a reason for your visit, not that I don't appreciate your company but you haven't visited me unless it's important."

"I have come to congratulate. I've heard that the Princess is to get married, to a Velaryon no less. I would say it is quite clever. It would not only boost her position as heir but will also ensure the Velaryon's support to her."

"I can't be the only one to see the problem in this match. The whole reason Rhaenyra had bastards was because she was married to Laenor. If they fail to have children again and Rhaenyra has to have bastards again then it would give enough reason for my father to pit the lords against Rhaenyra's claim and it would destroy everything again." Alicent was pacing frantically.

"Alicent" Shrykos tried to get Alicent attention but the Queen was still pacing and muttering frantically not paying attention to her. "Alicent!" Shrykos raised her voice slightly which finally got her attention. Shrykos walked towards Alicent while she was watching startled and wide-eyed. "Listen carefully, you supporting Rhaenyra changes things more than you realize as long you and your kids stand with Rhaenyra, there is nothing your father can do. No matter what he tries he will not be succeeded in his schemes. The strength of House Targaryen lies in its unity which is why it can not be divided."

"House Targaryen cannot stand if divided." Alicent whispers to herself remembering the words Viserys has said multiple times. She did not realize the weight of his until she died.

"And the matter of Heir. You need not worry Rhaenyra and Laenor will have a legitimate heir. There is a way to ensure it."

"There is a way?" Shrykos simply nodded at her question. "What is it?"

"Find it. I can't tell you everything. I would be interfering too much if I told you everything, Alicent."

"What but-"

"Alicent" Rhaenyra's voice cut her off.

Alicent turned around to see Rhaenyra standing there looking at her confused and when she turned back Shrykos was not present. Of course, she left Alicent sighed before turning to face Rhaenyra.

"Who were you talking to"

"I was praying" Alicent lied without giving much thought just going with the first thing that came to her mind.

"Praying? What were you praying about?" Rhaenyra was more confused as Alicent rarely visited the Sept or prayed to the Seven ever since Aegon was born. She only visited on her mother's death anniversary or for the late Queen's death anniversary to pray or rather talk to them.
