Childe and i had tied heizou up again and took the knife from him. He was still knocked out and we were on our way out of the city. Childe was carrying heizou of course.
"Alright, i say we head to the chasm, theres a path through there to Sumeru." I said while looking at a map i had gotten from a shop.
"Isn't that place filled with treasure hoarders?" Childe asked as we proceeded across the bridge exiting liyue city.
"Yes.. but its the fastest way back-" then i was distracted by two dogs on the bridge. "Aw, Childe, look! There's dogs out here." I say reaching out to pet one of them.
"Could be rabid" childe said as he continued to walk.
"What?!" I yanked my hand away from the dog and ran to catch up with Childe. That's when i noticed the dog had started to chase after me. I began sprinting for the mountains on the other side of the bridge. "AAAAHHH!! Chiiiillde!! Make him stop!!" I screamed.
Childe just stood there with a shocked expression as another dog ran past him, that one was chasing me as well apparently. "Um.. that was unexpected.." childe mumbled.
"CHILDE!! HELP ME!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs as i climbed to a small ledge on the mountain.
childe walked up to the dogs and shooed them away. "There, now get down from there"
"How did you do that?! You know magic or something?!" I said trying to find a way to get down from the predicament i had gotten myself into.
"I just.. waved my hand at them..?"
"Oh yeah, "just waved them away" hah.. like id believe that"
"Im telling the truth, but if you dont believe me then dont. Just hurry up, would you?"
"Yeah yeah, I'm trying.. this ledge is steep and too high up to jump from"
"Would you jump off if i caught you?" Childe said while staring up at me with an expressionless face.
"Maybe, but i doubt you would. You'd just let me fall, wouldn't you.." i said trying to grab another ledge which caused me to slip a little bit so i was just hanging there. I grunted as i tried to pull myself back up, but to no avail.
"Oh come on, id catch you. You can't be that heavy, youre tiny." He chuckled to himself.
"Hey! Am not! But no, that's not what I'm worried about. I just think you'd let me face plant." I said still hanging on the ledge.
"Well you need to find some way down sooner or later, or youre going to fall.. and youre like six feet off the ground.. how did you even get up there?"
"I.. dont know.. i just did?" I said my hands slipping a little bit. "Hey Childe.. maybe i will take up your offer to catch me.. just please actually catch me.."
"Yeah, dont worry, ill catch you" he set down heizou and stood below me with his arms up ready to catch me when i fell. "Ready?" He asked.
"Y-yeah.."
"Alright, let go whenever"
"Alri-" i was cut off my my hand slipping off the ledge, and i screamed for about three seconds before Childe caught me. "O-oh.. thanks.." i said as i processed what just happened.
"Dont mention it" he said as he sat me back down on the ground.
We continued on our planned route back to sumeru in silence. And it wasn't the comfortable kind either..
"So um.. i was thinking we could set up a tent towards the east side of the chasm? Once we get past all the treasure hoarders and the riskier sections, but we should be fine as long as we stay on the path." I stopped talking when i realized i was rambling.
"Sure" childe said, still looking dead ahead.
"Alright" i trailed off looking up at the sky. The sun had begun to set. 'How long were we in liyue?' i thought.

A few hours later we were finally on the east side of the chasm, and our tent, which we had gotten from the adventurers at the entrance, was pretty much set up. We tied heizou to a lamp and he hadn't woken up yet.
"Hey scara! Will you hand me the hammer?" Childe yelled holding up the last support beam.
"Yeah" i said as i ran over to get the hammer, "here" i handed it to him.
"Aaaaallright, and that should do it" Childe announced once he had connected the last piece.
"Who gets the first whatch shift?"
"Ill do it" Childe offered.
"Alright, g'night" i said as i walked into the tent and laid down.
"Night" Childe said as he sat on a ledge of the chasm not far from the tent.
And not even five minutes later, i had drifted off to sleep.
