Comrades or More?

Chapter 1

Scara's pov

Childe and i have been assigned to track down a detective from Inazuma by the name of.. heizou, Dottore says he'll be useful for research purposes.. hopefully he means information and not experiments.. we dont need another dead person on our hands. I know the doctor is insanely smart.. but most of his 'expirements' dont end well.. but I'm getting off topic, Childe was walking next to me holding a map of places we should check for this.. heizou guy..

"So.. where to first..?" I asked just wanting to get this over with as soon as possible.. being seen with the eleventh isn't the best look for me.. i should be at the banquet right about now.. but noooo.. i had to go find a detective with this guy..

"Gimme a minute.. this map doesn't make any sense.. who wrote this?!"

"Dottore.. hand it here." I grabbed the map from him and he was right.. this map didn't make any sense at all. The streets were all wrong and many houses were missing.. "I don't think this will help us.. at all.."

"Tch.. great.. so now we gotta find this guy without a map?!"

"Hey.. I'm not happy about it either.." i say visibly starting to get ticked off. I don't want to spend a second more than i have to with this guy.

"Why don't we ask them?" Childe pointed over to the police station.

"Are you crazy?! We're practically kidnapping one of them!"

"I thought he was a detective.."

"Oh.. right.. but it says here that he is an officer."

"Lemme see" Childe said as he snatched the map out of my hands

"Hey!" I yelled at him "give that back!" I tried to grab it back but he held it just out of my reach with a sly smirk on him face. 'Jerk..' i thought.

"See, detective, i was right" Childe angled the map down towards me so i could see it.

"And officer" i pointed to the end of our target's description.

"Hm.. guess so" he just shrugged his shoulders.

"Let's keep going then.." i said as a grabbed his arm dragging him with me down the street. "Do we know what this guy looks like? As in height, hair color, and all that stuff..?"

"Says here he is shorter.. with maroon hair? How does one even have maroon hair-" i slapped his arm to get him to focus again. "Hey! What was that for?"

"Just shut up, would you? I gotta look for this short maroon haired guy.."

"We. We have to look for him" Childe said as he playfully hit the back of my head almost knocking my hat off.

"hey! Careful!" I glared at him, he put his hands up in a defensive manner with a smile on his face. Glad he thought it was funny..

Childe looked over my head and his smile disappeared as he grabbed my sleeve and dragged me behind yae publishing house. "I think i saw him.." he said still trying to peek around the corner. I just stood there as he had shoved me behind him so he could get a better look. "That guy matches the description.. right?" He moved behind me so i could see.

"Yeah, id say so.. what's our attack plan?" I looked up at him genuinely curious for an answer as I didn't think we would find this guy so quickly.

"I say we wait for him to leave the busy part of town at least.. then we can head over and grab him.."

"Alright, sounds good.. do you have like.. a gag or something we can use to keep him quiet..?"

Childe held up a cloth and a blindfold, "is this good enough?"

"Yeah.. that'll do"

We crept around the back of the publishing house and waited by the exit of the city.

A few minutes later heizou walked past us and i nodded to Childe and we both dashed towards him. He turned around with a confused look with quickly turned to terror. Childe grabbed him and tackled him to the ground, and before he could let out a cry for help i put my hand over his mouth and tied the gag around the back of his head.

"There.. now let's head back" i said and Childe nodded before pinching a certain spot on heizou's neck causing him to pass out and putting on the blindfold.
