Comrades or More?

Chapter 2

Scara's pov

We found a small boat, barely big enough for five people, bringing stuff from liyue that didn't have anyone on it. Sure, it wasn't the biggest fanciest ship out there, but it would get us back. Childe was carrying heizou on his shoulder so i had to get everything else ready to go while Childe got heizou situated.

We had been sailing for about half a day, and i had been keeping a close eye on the compass, the last thing we needed was to go the wrong way.. Childe had dozed off about twenty minutes ago and he actually looked calm for once. I started to look through our rations for something to eat as it was probably about dinner time and if either of those two woke up they'd probably be hungry. I found a few sandwiches and some fruits, not much.. but enough for us to get back on if I didn't eat, which wasn't necessary as I'm a puppet and don't need food.

Not even five minutes later i heard muffled groans coming from the blindfolded boy. 'Well, its not like there's anyone out here to hear him.. and not much for him to see either' i though. I pulled his blindfold down and removed the gag. 'Might as well talk to someone..' heizou just stared at me disbelievingly, then proceeded to look around at the vast blue ocean around us. He clearly knew yelling was helpless as he just sat there is silence makeing occasional eye contact.

I was still a bit skeptical of this guy even though he hadn't tried anything yet.. he had been awake for about an hour and still hadn't said anything either. I didn't know if he was hungry or not.. but i figured it would probably be best to ask.. "hey, you hungry..?" I asked and he nodded a tiny bit.

"As long as it isn't laced with something.." he said in a slightly sarcastic tone.

"No, you're all good there" i chuckled a bit. And turned around to grab one of the sandwiches.

As i was about to turn back around i felt a cold, sharp item on my neck. 'Crap..' i thought to myself.

"Put your hands up and turn around slowly.. you try anything and you're both dead.." heizou said in a serious tone.

I slowly raised my hands and turned around to face Childe who was still asleep. His dagger which he usually kept in his boot wasn't there anymore.. it was in heizou's hand.. "h-hey man-"

"Shut up. You only speak when i ask you a question, got it?" I nodded a tiny bit and heizou tied my hands and feet together. He shoved me into the floor of the boat and my hat fell off and bumped into Childe.. but he didn't wake up. I was beginning to get a little worried as to why he was still asleep.

Heizou began to look through our things, most likely looking for something to get back to Inazuma and get us thrown in jail.. my compass was still in my pocket, so he wasn't going to find anything useful for awhile.

About half an hour later heizou finally stopped rummaging through our items. Childe was still sleeping which i was beginning to get extremely worried about, and i was still sitting on the floor next to Childe. Heizou just stared at me with a look that I couldn't quite read, but I knew he wasn't happy.

"So.." heizou began, "what do you guys want with me?"

I sat there in silence and turned my head away slightly. The last thing i needed was to tell this guy dottore's plans. Just then i heard footsteps infront of me and proceeded to look away. Heizou kneeled down infront of me and forcefully grabbed my chin with one hand turning my face to look at him.

"I asked you a question.." he sounded extremely pissed off.

I clenched my jaw and stared him in the eyes, he didn't like that.

"Fine.. keep quiet, ill figure it out sooner or later" he let go of my chin and went back to his seat.

For the next few hours heizou just kept staring at me.. most likely trying to read my expression.. i just sat there, hands tied behind my back and my ankles bound together with some rope from our supply bags. 'I should have just left him tied up' i thought. For some reason childe wasn't tied up like i was, probably because we only had two pieces of rope. He still hadn't woken up though.. sure, it was the middle of the night, so it made sense for him to be asleep now, but with everything that happened.. i just feel like he could have woken up.

If we had continued going the same direction, we should be at liyue in a few more hours. However i doubt heizou would have let us keep going that way.. heizou got up and walked over to Childe. I was a little panicked about the sinister look on his face, he then grabbed childe's vision and put it in his pocket. He then looked at me, "do you have one of these?" He asked holding up childe's vision. I shook my head. "Alright.." he said before he sat back down.

'Great.. now even if Childe wakes up before we hit land he wont be able to fight this guy..' heizou also has a vision.. an anemo one. He could easily knock us out of the boat if we tried to stand up or attack him..

Just then i heard grunting next to me and i saw childe's eyes slowly open. "S-Scaramouche..?" He questioned as he sat up. Heizou then punched him in the stomach and he fell onto his knees. 'Jeez this guy is strong' i thought.

"Alright, answers. Now." Heizou said in a firm tone.

Childe gave me a confused look while clutching his stomach. "What did you do?" He whispered.

"I wanted someone to talk to, ok?!" I whisper-yelled back.

"You should have woken me up then!" He shot back.

"Would you two shut up?!" Heizou yelled. "I dont care about y'all's little fights, i want answers!"

"Answers to what?" Childe asked.

"First off, why did you guys kidnap me?" Heizou said in a professional tone.

"We were given a mission to grab you for-" Childe began, before i sent him a death glare. "Um.. a commission.. in liyue.."

I mentally facepalmed. 'Great..'

"You suck at lying" heizou said looking Childe in the eyes

"I do not!" Childe argued.

"Right.. well, i only had enough rope to tie one of you up.. so if you try anything, i will not hesitate to throw one of you over" heizou sat back down and crossed him arms.
