Comrades or More?

Chapter 6

After getting a little lost on our way out of the chasm, we were finally on our way to sumeru city. However, the sun had already begun to set.

"The map says there's a rest spot up ahead on the other side of this village" i stated pointing ahead.

"Alright, we'll stop there then" Childe said.

We walked through the village, getting many weird looks from the inhabitants. But what can you expect when the tall ginger youre walking with has a passed out boy over his shoulder. Not much later we made it to the other side of the village, and this "resting spot" was basically some hammocks stacked between three trees, two hammocks between the trees, and four it total. It clearly said 'rest area, feel free to use these hammocks' but i still felt uneasy. Childe however seemed to be too tired to care.

"I want the top bunk- or.. hammock" he said before climbing the tree to get to it.

'There's two top ones.. so you could have gotten one even if i wanted one..' i thought to myself.

Childe had set heizou next to the tree and i tied him up, then we both headed to bed.

The next morning i woke up to Childe leaning over me, blocking the warm sunlight from my face. "Move.. youre blocking the sun.." i mumbled.

"Hm.. i think not, mouchie" he snickered "you need to get up so we can get to the city"

"N-no.. just give me five more minutes.." i said turning over.

"Yeah, whatever.. five more minutes, but that's it, got it?" Childe sat on the ground next to my hamomock facing towards the city.

"Mhm.." and i soon fell asleep again. Just to be awoken a few minutes later by a bunch of water being poured on my face. "HEY! What the heck was that for?!?" I screamed at Childe who was laughing his head off and practically rolling around on the ground.

"Sorry, sorry, but it was so tempting!" Childe barely managed to say between fits of laughter.

"Great.. now I'm soaked.." i said irritated.

"It'll dry, you could take your jacket off, that probably got the most of it, except maybe your hair.." then he started chuckling to himself some more.

"I guess i could.." i slowly said.

"Lets get going then, shall we?" Childe grabbed heizou and put him over his shoulder again.

"Yeah, okay" i took my jacket off and stuffed it into my bag. We walked for a few hours before finally making it to sumeru city.

"Dottore said to meet him in the academia" Childe stated as we walked up the ramps.

"I might just stay out here.. please just dont take my share of the payment.." i nervously chuckled to myself.

"Why dont you want to go in?" Childe asked sounding confused.

"Y-you dont know..?" I said slightly surprised.

"Know what?"

"Nothing.. its better if you dont know.." i shrugged it off and sped up a little bit. I could feel childe's gaze still on me.

"Alright.." childe's voice trailed off.

We arrived at the door to the academia, the place was filled with Fatui diplomats, and the students were no where do be seen.

"Ill be out here.." i said as i leaned against one of the pillars and closed my eyes.

"Right, ill see you in a bit" and with that Childe disappeared through the doors.
