Chapter 12

Heyyo, after all the trauma, we now have a wholesome fluff filled chapter, so here ya go

Scara's pov:

At long last, we had made it to mondstadt's front gate. And Childe had still not let go of my wrist.

"Finally!" I exclaimed. "C'mon, lets go find an inn" i started sprinting and so did Childe.

"Someone's happy to be in a city again" Childe chuckled.

"Yeah, whatever" i said as we walked over to the fountain. Then i spotted good hunter. "Want to get lunch.. or dinner..what time even is it?

"Probably about late afternoon, or early evening" Childe and i walked over to the lady at the counter.

"Why hello there" she sounded rather cheerful. "How can i help you two?"

"Uh.." i started. "Can i get.. some fisherman's toast?"

"Of course" she scribbled in her notebook. "And what about you?" She turned to Childe.

"Ill take the same thing" childe responded.

"Sure thing" she wrote something else in her notebook. "Oh, and by the way, kids eat free today" she glanced at me then looked at Childe, who was trying desperately to hold in laughter. "So your total will be 920 mora please" childe pulled out his money and payed for the food.

As we walked away with our food, childe continued to laugh. "Hey comrade, at least you got free food" he laughed some more, then looked at me. "Woah, your ears are super red. You okay? Or just embarrassed?" He chuckled.

"Im fine" i muttered as i covered my ear with my free hand.

"Hmm.. alright then" he shrugged. "We need to find an inn. Do you have any idea where we could find one?" He took a bite of his toast.

"No, I don't" i finished the last bit of my toast.

"Alright, we can ask for direction- woah, you ate that quickly" he said sounding surprised.

"I was hungry, and there was someone at the gate giving directions" i pointed to the gate.

"Let's head that way then" childe grabbed my wrist again and we began to walk over to the gate.

"Im not going to run off.. you can let go" i swiped my hand away from him.

"Oh, sorry" he smiled nervously.

"Its fine, but we can ask him for directions" i guestured to a guard at the gate. "Hi.. could you point us in the direction of the inn here?" I asked the guard.

"Ah, yes" he responded. "Just turn left when you enter and walk forward. Can't miss it" he smiled at us, and waved goodbye to us as we walked away.

"Thank you!" I yelled back.

We had checked into the inn, and this time we had separate beds.

"The inn in mondstadt is bigger than the one in liyue, or at least the one we stayed at last time." I said as i took my hat off and kicked my shoes off then flopped backwards onto my bed.

"Yeah, now you can't cling to me" childe smirked.

"Hey! I already told you, i woke up like that!" I sat up and crossed my arms.

"And yet you stayed like that" childe teased.

"You were warm.." i mumbled.

"And youre all red now" childe chuckled as i tried to cover my face. "Aw, dont hide it. Its cute" he snickered.
