Teenage years, to me, may be the most fun, easy, hard, confusing, self discovring, dumbest(and much more!) Years of ones life. Also, one learns to love another.
Now, this boy, let's call him John, so empty, no direction, knows nothing about John(himself) just living, just existing, living on the system 'wake up, shower, eat, school, home, tv, text, sleep wake up...'.
Its funny, being 'different' from what you're raised to knowing is 'normal', but what really is "normal" if everyone sees themself as normal in their eyes? What if what you could prove to be abnormal is what I can logically prove to be extremely normal? Actually isn't funny, but yeah.
John, little naive John, so unconcerned of what was, is, and will be, just going 'with the flow', where the 'flow' goes even he doesn't know, haaa he doesn't even care, he's too busy just going with the flow.
John's family is quite the complicated bunch, his great grandfather, old, witty and in some way wise as Rafiki(Lion King), his great grandmother, no one knows are actual age(not even her) but she's somewhere in her 80's but deceivingly looking and as energetic as a 25-35 year-old(not precise). The mouth of the family, then his grandmother, hard working, religious, big goaled lady, wants nothing but the good life. But that's enough about his family, save that for later
Just like every teenager must, John is in high school, he doesn't hate it, doesn't like it either, most of his 'friends' moved to different schools after middle school. But its okay, an all boys school isn't that bad after all(even though, John fits in more perfectly around female friends).
Some would call him a hypocryte(sometimes he too says he is) but this isn't completely true, he's what I'd say is flexible, he is interested in a little of almost everything he comes across.
He's the type of person that you don't hate, always joking about something, always trying to put a smile on someone's face. He's the loud and jolly type naturally.
But he's no saint, he has his dark side. His cold side, speaks out just as loud as his jolly side! He says most of what's on his mind, caresless if it hurts you or not(mostly hoping it burns your entire being) but this side of him he decided to put away, the choice wasn't really his to make, insecurity made all the choices.
Insecurity in my own opinion is dangerous, look at John, once able to say what he feels and thinks despite anyone's thoughts, then insecurity came in and in a way took his voice, letting him speak only on the inside, where no one can or will agree or disagree. Insecurity I think also leads to fear, feeling you always need to ask permission, feeling like you can barely breathe but blinded and forced to think its okay, its all just okay...
