Unknown Location

Finn Mikaelson sits in a room that looks like a science lab. A group of scientists are moving around the room. Henrik appears behind them, "Our nieces are insane," he says. "What did they do now," Finn says annoyed. "I'll give you a hint," Henrik says. Finn turns and looks at his younger brother, "Dagger," the younger Mikaelson says. Finn's eyes widen, "Our nieces daggered our siblings," Finn asks. Henrik makes a face, "Yeah, they are just so good at making decisions," Henrik says sarcastically. "What's going on here," Henrik asks, looking around. Finn sighs, "See the spell that is on that board," Finn asks. Henrik nods, "It's a enchantment spell," Finn says. "Esther," he starts before noticing the look on Henrik's face. "Fine, the devil used it to make our rings," Finn says. "What's with the spell," Henrik asks. "They are trying to find the opposite," Finn says.

Kol and Klaus laugh, "What," Finn asks. "Henrik made you call her 'the devil'," Kol says. Finn rolls his eyes, "Unbelievable," Finn whispers.

Mystic Falls

Faith and Grace are in the woods behind the Mikaelson mansion. "Pull," Faith calls. Grace throws a clay pigeon and Faith blasts it out of the sky with a ball of purple magic. "You seem to be in a mood," Grace says. "We bought the school, daggered our parents and they found out about Katherine in a matter of days," Faith says. "Pull," she calls out again, Grace throws the clay pigeon and Faith repeats the action. "Then the three of us got regrounded and yelled at," Faith adds. "I'm taking my grounding with a grain of salt," Grace says, as the two Mikaelsons change positions. "Pull," Grace calls. Faith throws the clay pigeon and Grace blasts it out of the sky with a ball of green magic. "How are you taking it with a grain of salt," Faith asks. "I mean, your dad grounded you this time," Faith adds. "My father also told me that he would never ground me again, if Mikael and Esther tried to kill me," Grace says with a smirk. "Therefore, I am not grounded," Grace adds. "Pull," Grace calls. Faith laughs as she throws the pigeon, an arrow zips by the two of them. Grace stops the arrow with her magic and turns to see Alaric with a crossbow. "What the bloody hell," Grace asks. "What was that for," Faith asks. "Your family is slowly ruining my family," Alaric says. "Buying the school, putting Caroline in charge," he adds. He moves his crossbow to attack again. The Mikaelson girls dodge the arrow, and in a flash, Faith and Grace use their vampire speed to leave the area.

Kol and Rebekah turn and look at Alaric, "You have a lot of nerve," the blonde Original says. "Trying to hurt them," Kol adds. Faith and Grace exchange a look, "I was thinking about the fact that he lost his touch," Grace says. "I mean, he missed," Grace adds. "Grace, if your dad does not know that Mikael and Esther tried to kill you, then the grounding is still in place," Davina says. "Not in my mind," Grace says. "Maybe not in yours, but you are still grounded in our mind," Kol says, turning his attention to his daughter.

Germany, 1933

Albert Einstein sits in an office, the scientist begins to put things into a briefcase. There is a loud banging on the door and he gasps as the door opens. Clarke stands there with soldiers carrying guns. "Put the heaters away, boys. This guy's a scientist, not a soldier," Clarke says. "Now, toss the place and find it. Before der Fuhrer beats us to it," Clarke adds.

"This guy again," Damon mutters. "Einstein is not as nice a person as history makes him out to be," Elijah says.

Mystic Falls, Present

Caroline stands in the front of the room and writes a quote on the board, "I guess the saying is true. Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it," she says. "Actually, the original quote is from George Santayana, who said, 'Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it.' Not that it really matters," Landon says. Lizzie looks at the auburn haired Mikaelson sitting right next to her. "It's good to have you back, Landon," Kaleb says. "But the monsters are back, too," Lizzie says. "Yeah, I always miss the good ones. Like, first there was the mummy, and then, and then a minotaur, and now a leprechaun? What did it want?" Landon asks. "If he keeps talking, he will meet another monster," Hope says. "And she comes with sharp teeth and a very short temper," Lizzie says. "We believe Malivore sent it to retrieve the Ascendant," Caroline says after giving her daughter and Hope a look. "Makes sense. Malivore can't meatsuit me if he's stuck in a prison world, so of course he wants a way out," Landon says, turning back to Hope. "That's not happening on our watch," Caroline says. "With the Ascendant destroyed, the monsters may be after Landon now. So let's focus," Hope says. "After the leprechaun came the Ferryman, which Cleo summoned to bring you back home. Which is why I nominate Cleo for the Super Squad," Kaleb says. "More like nominate yourself into her pants," Lizzie mutters. "All in favor?" Caroline asks with a smile. Everyone raises their hands, and the doors burst open in the midst of the vote. "Grace," Lizzie asks. "Faith," Hope adds. "Alaric just tried to kill us," Faith says. Caroline's eyes widen and Lizzie looks at between the three Mikaelson girls. "What are we voting on," Grace asks. "Cleo into the Super Squad," Kaleb says, shocked by the news. "Oh," Faith says. Both the dark haired Mikaelson and the pink haired Mikaelson raise their hands. "Well, that's a majority. Motion passes," Caroline says. "Is it? Where is everyone? Like, Josie and MG and, and...the rest of the students?" Landon asks. "Well, we've been having some enrollment issues," Caroline says. "Yet another reason to get this monster problem all sorted out," Grace says. "Well, if history has taught us anything, it's that we need to find whatever portal they're coming out of and seal it up," Hope says. "How? By stepping in every puddle in town and seeing if we wind up in an alternate hell dimension?" Lizzie asks. "Well, I'm glad you asked, Elizabeth, because that's your assignment today," Caroline says. "Wait, if Cleo can summon a monster, it stands to reason she can summon another. Perhaps a harmless one who will talk and give us answers once we capture it," Kaleb says. "I'm sorry, in what world would that be a smart idea," Grace asks. "Grace, Faith, Hope and Lizzie, I need to talk to the four of you in my office," Caroline says.

"I wonder who they are talking about," Elena says. "Me too," Grace says. "They are talking about you," Stefan says. "I know," Grace says.

Outside of the Mystic Falls High School, Josie and MG sit at a lunch table. "I can't even look at you right now. I mean, what kind of mystery meat is that?" Josie asks, watching MG make a face. "I'm gonna be honest. I'm not sure. But whatever it takes to fit in on my first day," MG says. "Good luck. Mystic Falls is clique-ier than The Salvatore School, which has actual factions. Over there is where the jocks sit with the mean girl cheerleaders," Josie says. "Well, she doesn't look so mean to me," MG says gesturing to a blonde sitting on a table near them. "Tori Thompson? Please. The LARPers and comic book geeks sit over there. It's probably more your speed," Josie says, gesturing to a different table. "Well, maybe at our last school, but here, we can be as cool as we want to be," MG says. "How cool is that, exactly?" Josie asks. "I see myself trying out for the football team..." MG says as he listens to the voices around him. "...because Tori Thompson is totally into me," MG adds. The dark haired Saltzman gives the vampire a look, MG laughs, "Yeah, she just told her friend," he adds. "Knock it off. No vamp powers," Josie says. "Relax, they don't even know," MG says. "Yeah, and we need to keep it that way or my dad is going to yank us out of this school so fast our heads are gonna spin. Okay, he's probably lurking in the parking lot right now," Josie says. "You're being paranoid," MG says. "Please, just try being human with me," Josie pleads. "Okay, fine. No powers," MG agrees. "But if this place is so important to you, why are we sitting here alone?" MG asks. "Mind if I join you guys? Looks like there's plenty of room," Ethan asks coming up to the pair. "That'd be cool, right?" he asks. "Yeah, sure. I'm MG," MG introduces as Josie and MG make room for Ethan. "I remember, from that flag football game. You transferred here, too?" Ethan asks. "Yeah. And, um, speaking of football, I was thinking of trying out," MG says. "You got any pointers?" the vampire asks. "Uh, study hard instead," Ethan says. Josie and MG exchange a look before looking back at Ethan. "I just got cut," Ethan answers their unasked question.

Elena scoffs, "You guys bought the school and lost another student," the doppelganger says. "And when Alaric was in charge, students died," Rebekah shoots back.

In Caroline's office, the four girls sit, "What happened," Caroline asks. "He blames us and our family for everything," Faith says. "Particularly him losing the position and the school," Grace adds. "I am going to talk to him, and then I need to go talk to Dorian about this," Caroline says, opening a drawer and pulling out a device. Faith and Hope stand up, "How do you have that," Faith asks. "It was in the desk," Caroline says. "We tried to get rid of it," Faith says. Caroline looks down at it, and pulls out her phone. "I need to make a call privately," Caroline says. The girls file out of the room, "I want you to work together and find out how to destroy Malivore and unfortunately, maybe Landon," Caroline says. "One second, Lizzie," Caroline adds. "Tell your sister," Caroline says.

"Tell her sister about what," Matt asks. "About the fact that our dad tried killing her best friends," Lizzie says.
