By the cemetery, the three Mikaelson girls and Lizzie have their hands linked holding the Ascendant. Josie pours Bennett blood all over the magical device, "That should do it," the dark haired Saltzman says. "Okay. Now step outside the circle," Hope says. "And don't come back in," Lizzie adds. "No matter what happens," Grace and Faith add in unison. The four girls in the circle begin chanting, "Sangiema Meam Et Nos Mundo Carcerema. Sangiema Meam Et Nos Mundo..." they chant in unison with their eyes closed. "It's working," Josie says as she watches red light and black wisps of magic come out of the Ascendent. "...Carcerema. Sangiema Meam Et Nos Mundo Carcerema," the girls continue chanting. "I don't remember this being so painful," Lizzie whimpers. Grace opens her eyes to look at the blonde, finding black tendrils of magic seeping into her veins. The dark haired Mikaelson shoots a look at the dark haired Saltzamn who gasps, "Dark magic," Josie says. "The Necromancer was full of it when we trapped him, so the prison world must be radioactive with it," Grace adds. "And now it's infecting you," Josie exclaims. "What do we do?" Lizzie asks. "Sever the connection," Josie replies. "Darling, let go," Grace says. "You activated the Ascendant, let go," Grace repeats. "You too Hope," Faith adds. "Grace and I can handle this," Faith says. "I can't!" Lizzie whimpers. "We just have to push through," Hope says. "No, Hope, you could die!" Josie exclaims. "Let go!" Faith and Grace demand. Josie watches as the three Mikaelson girls and Lizzie slowly lose their strength as more black magic infects them. She makes a decision, and steps into the circle and places her hands on Lizzie and Hope's arms, infecting herself with the magic. "Josie!" all four girls scream. A bright light sends the girls in all different directions. Each girl grunting as the hit the ground, "Landon?" Hope asks after getting up. "Long time, no see," he replies. "Am I dead or is this...another trance?" Hope asks. "Well it is no dream," Faith says. "You mean nightmare," Grace adds. "No, I'm pretty sure Landon made it back here somehow," Lizzie says. "Because we totally see him, too," Josie adds. "Oh no," Grace mutters. The other girls turn to look at what caught the Mikaelson heretic's attention. Klaus, Kol and Rebekah stand in the light glow that comes from the moon, as they stand with Caroline, Kai, Marcel, Hayley and Davina. "You better have a damn good explanation," Kol says.

"Well, this is sufficiently awkward," Grace says. "The only rule you guys had was to bring an adult," Caroline exclaims. "And that rule would put the mission in danger because they would be overly worried about our safety," Grace says.

The Next Morning

In the kitchen of the Mikaelson Boarding School, Kaleb is making breakfast for Cleo as quiet jazz plays. "Our grandad always used to say that the secret to a good crab omelet is in the seasoning," Kaleb says. "Then you are in luck. We have an absurd amount of salt left over from setting traps yesterday, hmm?" Cleo says. "Our grandad also used to say, 'It's Old Bay all the way'," Kaleb adds. "Are we celebrating, then? Super Squad pulled out a big win," Cleo says. "Landon's home. Thanks to you," Kaleb adds. Cleo gasps, "Does that make me an official member of your Squad?" Cleo asks. Kaleb chuckles, "Put it to you like this. It's definitely on the agenda for our next meeting," Kaleb says. "Thank you," Cleo says as she looks at the plate of food. "You're welcome," Kaleb says. "Hmm?" Cleo hums as she takes a bite. "Wow," she adds. Kaleb laughs, "I was definitely on the sidelines before you put me back in the game. Which is ironic, because I gave MG so much grief about his actions having consequences," Kaleb says. "But not taking any does, too," Cleo says. "So...no more Switzerland for me," Kaleb says. "Have you patched things up with MG yet?" Cleo asks. "Not yet, but I am headed there now," Kaleb says.

"Are they flirting," Bonnie asks. "He is," Grace replies. "It's not as good as my flirting but it is up there," the dark haired Mikaelson adds. Lizzie rolls her eyes.

In Caroline's office, Josie sits next to her mother, "Does that mean I can go?" she asks. "Well, according to these tests, there are no traces of black magic in your system. So, technically, you're safe to return to Mystic Falls," Caroline says as she looks at some paperwork. "And it's still my choice, right?" Josie asks. "Of course it is," Caroline says. There is a knock on the door, "Come in," Caroline says. Kai walks into the room, "Hey," he says. "Hi, Uncle Kai," Josie replies. "I was thinking," Kai says. "And I think one of the reasons that you are having such a hard time adjusting to the new school is because you live on this campus," Kai says. "Now putting Malivore away, was not your fault, we did it on the high school campus," Kai begins. "With the leprechaun, you were on your way out when the letter came in," Kai adds. "And today, the girls went out to let you know what was going on and you jumped right back into this world," Kai says. Josie looks down ashamed, Kai sits on the other side of his niece. "When my sister left this world behind, she cut off ties to the family," Kai says. "Now, with your Mom's permission, I was wondering if you would like to live with me," Kai says. Caroline's eyes widen, "I bought an apartment by the school and if you were up to it," Kai trails off. "Kai," Caroline whispers. Kai smiles at the blonde, "Yes," Josie says. "Well, that is settled," Caroline says. "But I do hope that the two of you will stay for my speech," Caroline says. "I wouldn't miss it," Josie says. "Me neither," Kai adds.
