Grace and Finn walk into their family home, there is a board with something written on it. "What's this," Grace asks. "The prophecy," Finn says. The dark haired Mikaelson looks at her Uncle in shock. "Like the prophecy," Grace asks. During her childhood, the family always talked about the prophecy in a negative sense. Grace looks back up at the prophecy, "Drink deep, but beware. What you broke is past repair. All your oaths you betray. Your sacred vows you sever, and now you see that nothing lasts for always and forever. 4 yet remain, 1 already crossed, yet in one year's time, you'll all be lost. As your family is undone, you will seed the beast that is to come," Grace reads. "Uncle Finn, did this come true," Grace asks. "There was a loophole that we found," Finn says. Finn points to a line about, "4 yet remain, 1 already crossed," Finn reads. "I was the one that already crossed, but I came back and then," Finn trails off. "Died again," Grace whispers.

"Not only that," Henrik says. "What do you mean," Klaus asks. "The family changed," Henrik says. "It changed because two new people were born and changed the dynamic," Henrik says.

Caroline walks into the dorm with Grace laying on the bed with Hope pouring over a grimoire. The auburn haired Mikaelson looks up when the Headmistress walks in. "I know that look. Why don't you just tell me what's wrong?" Hope asks. "Because you're in a good mood," Caroline says. "Let me guess. A banshee can only be stopped with a certain enchanted blah, blah, blah from the mountains of blah, blah, blah," Hope says. "Actually, according to Irish mythology, the banshee is a harbinger. Whenever they appear, death is not far behind," Caroline says. "Okay, that just means that death could be coming for anybody in Mystic Falls," Hope says. Caroline gives the girl a look, "And when has that ever been our luck?" Caroline asks. "Hope, we have to prepare ourselves for the very real possibility that she may say something to us we don't want to hear," Caroline says. "Headmistress Forbes," Jed says, walking into the room. "Cleo and I know how to get this monster to talk," Jed says, handing Caroline a spell to the woman. "Alias Vocem," Hope reads. "It allows one to speak through another as a conduit, without being able to burst our eardrums," Cleo explains. "It's brilliant," Hope says. "But I know what's missing!" Hope says. Hope moves around the bed to the desk and grabs an herb. "This spell means nothing if the banshee can lie," Hope says, holding up blue calamus. "It's basically a truth weed. If we give it to Jed, the banshee can't lie to us," Hope says.

The Mikaelsons look at Caroline, "You are concerned about our daughters," Klaus says. "My daughters are safe with your daughters," Caroline says. "I respect that," Caroline adds. "Good idea with the calamus," Kol says.

The group moves down to the gymnasium, Hope uses chains on Jed to keep him in place. "Here," Hope says. Jed takes the herb and eats it. "That was gross," Jed says. Hope rolls her eyes, "There's not much time till the full moon," Caroline says. "When Jed turns, we don't want a monster in his head," Caroline adds. Hope nods, "Well, now we just need something of hers," Cleo says. There is a soft whoosh as Hope uses her magic to take her necklace. Hope hands the necklace to Jed, "Vauntidictus calimus vox," Hope says, activating the spell. "Ah. Clever girl. Trapping my voice in a body that cannot scream," the banshee says through Jed. "Or lie," Hope says. "Now we can have a civilized conversation," Hope says. "Are you sure you want to hear what I have to say?" the banshee asks. "Why are you here?" Caroline asks. "Malivore promised me freedom from the darkness in exchange for bringing him that girl," the banshee says through Jed, the monster pointing towards Cleo. "And why does he want her?" Hope asks. Jed chuckles darkly, "You are forcing me to tell the truth...but that does not mean I have to answer. This is not the question that troubles you," the banshee says. "Go on, little girl. Ask what you really wish to know," the banshee taunts. "Who's gonna die?" Hope asks. "There are many possible roads. But one is clearer than the others. If she stays here..." the banshee asks pointing at Cleo. "he dies," the banshee says pointing at Landon. Hope makes a face, "Are you sure," Hope asks. "Hope, you gave it a truth weed," Caroline says. "Yeah, I know," Hope says. "But Cleo respects all life," Hope says. "And Grace has been waiting for a reason to rip Landon's head off," Hope says. "There is no way that Grace would allow someone else to kill him this time," Hope says.
