Fruit is black

Falling roses
Petals swirling in the air
A tide in our hearts
Dancing in the rain

Grass' blades
Swaying in the breeze
A book a fireplace
Hope that no one sees

Bonds restricting
Ends do not meet
A kiss shared
Under moonlight sweet

A ring a chain
Wrongly wed
Now nature an altar
Love true met

Parted too soon
Watched him go
Time flew quickly
Then moved too slow

To one a tale
A letter to the one
Bloom came sooner
Back in time it has gone

A pledge a vow
Between flowers said
A promise for tomorrow
To my love it led
